Hello guys, I have a website that have steady low traffic and Im planning to implement ads like Monetag or AdMaven. But before that, I need to ensure my traffics is safe from bots or bad traffics. Currently I have implemented some counter-measures using Cloudflare Bot Fight mode and WAF rules to block traffics other than verified known bots such as google indexing bots.

My question is, do you guys have any further tips other than my implementations above? Thank you

Dont use cloudflare anti boot you will get high bounce rate and you will loose traffic. Use these 2 wordpress plugins:
Blackhole for Bad Bots
BBQ Firewall
I will suggest do nothing unless AdMaven ask you to, Monetag don't care about bots.

Ahhh i see, thats news to me. But im not using wordpress tho. I code it myself using nextjs

Hey, I’ve been using AdMaven and haven’t worried too much about blocking all bots. It seems pretty tolerant, and I’ve gotten good results without complex protections. Just my experience. Thanks for the tips!

Add a small JavaScript script that gives a hidden cookie when a real person visits your page. Then set a Cloudflare rule to block any visitor without that cookie. Most bots don’t run JavaScript, so they’ll get stopped.
