How To Become An SEO Expert Very Quickly

Alright, this is for the noobs.

If you want to learn SEO but you dont have tons of time to sift through all the mind numbing posts on SEO forums, this is what you do.

#1 Find threads that give advise that makes sense to you. These are not necessarily threads that have lots of Reps or Thanks. These are threads with knowledge and techniques that just makes sense to you. Once you have found these threads, go to the OP (original posters) profile and start to read all the threads and posts they have made. (If they know what they are talking about in one post or thread, they probably know what they are talking about in others as well.)

#2 Search for the OP's forum name in Google and see if they post on other forums. If they do, then repeat step #1 above for those forums.

Before long you will have a free army of daily advisors that you can trust, guiding you along in your SEO endeavors.

So.. read experts' posts and call yourself an expert then?
Sorry, that is called being a copy cat.

Sure, you should read and read a lot but an expert is one who tests his own strategies and comes up with things that actually work instead of copying others and blindly agreeing with them.

A good way of picking up some expert knowledge and I have found several members here who have professional knowledge and I have sought out their posts for more quality info.

However thats just theory, I can say 100% that the only knowledge I have truely learned is by getting my hands dirty and actually testing. Just get stuck in and learn as you go(whilst taking onboard but not neccesarily following to the letter)advice of those who have gone before you.
 
i think it's better when we read and aplicate it to test which one that works
 
Well, to all the glorified "Signature Link Experts" this method may seem easy or copying etc. But that is how knowledge is gained quickly, along with having the wherewithal and fortitude to put the knowledge into practice.

To all the noobs, dont let the professed "Sig Link Experts" discourage you or lead you down their paths. You have to make your own way, and the above advice is one of the fastest and most effective ways to do it.

Where did I say reading is bad?
All I'm saying is, someone who reads a few threads and claims to be an expert. Sure you can gain knowledge by reading threads, books, watching videos or stuff but thats not what gets you in the league of successful SEOs - practicing yourself is what does.

Think of two lawyers - one is a book worm and all he has done is read a few books and he starts calling himself a lawyer after getting his degree - sure he is a lawyer technically but
There's this old guy - he has a degree in law too, but what makes him better than the 21 year old kid is his experience, he's dealt with more cases than the number of books that kid has read. He's done it all himself! Wouldn't you think he's the real expert?

SEO is the same except there is no real certification and you can't separate newbies from experts easily. Anyone can read a few threads and call themself an expert and then start a service to scam people (remember this?) but the real people test, analyze, test again, analyze and keep testing.

If you take OPs approach and start beleiving what any so called "SEO expert" says blindly, your career in SEO industy is doomed. If you can't conduct your own tests and experiment on your own, SEO might not be the best job for you.

About your comment about signature links, FYI the service in my signature is closed and we're not accepting new signups. I also removed my signature from the previous post since it was somehow making you uncomfortable.

I have to say it is shallow what you are doing in this thread. No one is going to claim they are an SEO expert after taking the advice in this thread, but they may be able to exponentially grow their SEO knowledge base.

The title of the thread doesnt say "Heres A Method To Enable You To Claim Youre An SEO Expert Quickly".

This is practical advice for people starting out. I wish someone would have told me this method the first week I got involved with SEO.

And this is practical advice? Really?
Well let me give you my practical advice for becomming a millionaire.
Copy other millionaires.

Wow, all the winning personalities are coming out to play today.

You see noobs, when the "experts" (people with 500 posts or more) start opposing what you are saying so strongly, it generally means two things.

#1 You are wrong.

#2 Or it means that the "experts" are unhappy with a simple truth that has been told.

Knowledge is power, and you are not going to become a millionaire without changing your mind/mentality to a millionaires mind/mentality. The quickest way to do that is to get around some millionaires and learn or find another way to put their knowledge in your head.
 
you can read all the forum post you want, but you need a bullshit filter. That only comes with experience, which comes at a cost, either financially or with time spent.

So before you go spending all your time on "the latest method" you need to know its validity.

Your advice can cause more harm than good in this case.

Instead you chisel the first poster who comes in with an opinion that does not match your doctrine...
