how to beat a speeding ticket?

a friend of mine has got a speeding ticket. I feel very bad for her because recently she has been going through so much shit. she got sick, then she lost her job, then she got sick again.
she really cannot afford to pay this ticket and she has been crying all day.
Do you know how she can beat it? are there any tricks that she can use to get it dismissed?

if you don't tell the country , no one can help.
 
She is entitled to contest the ticket but to give herself the best chance of success she would need to use a lawyer with experience.

Unfortunately, that would probably cost more than just paying the fine.

In Canada if you have no money and try to fight it, they will drop reduce it.
 
Once that speeding ticket is written, your pretty much screwed. IF she couldn't convince the officer at that given moment, unless you get a good lawyer your paying that ticket(end up paying more than what the ticket is worth, obviously).
 
OP, your friend got a speeding ticket, thats her problem, there is only two way to deal with it either pay the ticket or contest it in the court, the first would be cheaper since the later would yield her more money (pay the attorney + if you lose the contest pay the fine) - attorney alone would charge more than the fine

She should learn from her mistake rather you trying to find an alternative to escape from the mistake she done, do you think commeting an offence and then asking for forgiveness would do the best.

Better off - ask the lady to charm the office who gave her the speeding ticket, then contest the case, let the officer appear in the court and say that it was a mistake, your lady is saved, she can also claim back for harassment lol
 
Well speeding is fine but you should know the limit. Its her own fault really. Its like saying she lost he job because she never showed up.

Anyone looking for real advice. just pay your road offence fines unless you can afford a Barrister or senior counsel. Watch your fine quadruple and the rest as you waste a judges time on minor shit he has no time for.

Pay the ticket yourself if you 're so sorry and she 's a friend that 's been going through so much shit - problem solved.
 
Ever heard of a guy named Matt Farrah? He has youtube channels. When he was younger he got a speeding ticket, something crazy like 100+ mph that could have landed him in jail. He got a lawyer and his lawyer found some loophole that allowed them to move the trial to a different court 5 hours away, the ticketing officer wasn't going to drive 5 hours and since he had to present the case was dismissed.
 
depending on how far over the limit she was going, the cop might not even show up to court.
 
Depends where shes located.
Here's my 2 cents.
1. Skip the lawyer. 98% of them will tell you results are not guaranteed.
2. Have her take a defensive driving course
3. Have her show up in court, admit she was wrong but in a rush because of [reason] and then have her show her defensive driving receipt or certificate so the judge will understand that she's responsible.

This method should either knock down the fine or points.
 
Without knowing the state, assuming you're even in the Untied States, and the citation numbers [22350,22349,22356, etc.] it would be impossible to advise you/her on how to do a written declaration.

If the ticket is from California then send a PM with the citation numbers; it's an easy out if you can show the speed was safe and prudent. However, if the speed was excessive or if it's a different state then I don't have any experience with it.

This is the kind of thing I am looking for, a technicality that she could use.
I have also heard if you keep postponing your court date, it reduces the chances of the officer showing up. so some people will postpone it like 5 times and at that point the officer wont care enough to show up.
This is in California by the way.
