If you suspect that your X/Twitter account has been shadowbanned, you can refer to the signs below:
  • Sudden drop in engagement: For example, you might notice a sudden decrease in impressions, likes, follows, etc., even though your posts had been getting consistent engagement before.
  • Tweets not appearing in hashtags or search: For example, your post doesn’t show up in public search results or under the hashtags you’ve used. Even when you search exactly for the content of your tweet or hashtag, it won’t appear.
  • Replies hidden behind “Show More Replies”: When you click on this notification, your post doesn't show any additional comments.
  • Label or warning on your account: Your account might receive a warning about violating the platform's rules.
These are the four most noticeable signs if you suspect your X/Twitter account is shadowbanned. There are many potential reasons behind this, such as:
  • Spammy behavior
  • Using poor-quality automation tools
  • Posting sensitive content or violating policies
  • Getting reported by other accounts
  • Logging into too many accounts on one device or IP address
Twitter/X shadowbans typically last for 48-72 hours if no further violations occur. In some cases, it might take up to a week. To remove the shadowban, here are a few things you can try:
  • Stop automated behavior, such as mass liking, following, or retweeting.
  • Remove anything that might have triggered the shadowban, like spammy links, repetitive content, or aggressive hashtags.
  • Give your account a short break—around 2-3 days. Let the system "cool off."
  • etc
These are my personal experiences, and if you want to discuss any of these issues, feel free to comment below. Hope this helps!

Thank you and adding my experience:
If you’re shadowbanned, stop all automation, remove risky content, and let the account rest for a few days. Most bans lift in 2 to 7 days if no new violations happen. Keep activity natural after that.

Yeah it's true, shadowbans disappear on 2-3 days, also you can buy "blue" status for 8$, your account gonna be less shadow-banned.

Does someone know why do some people ask to be quoted when they get shadowbanned? I've seen it a few times already, it seems like placebo mostly.

I'm currently shadowbanned for 5 days now, I assume mine will last 7 days, just because I reposted way too fast.

My experience: None of that works.

I have an account on X that was shadowbanned when the platform was called Twitter, and to this day, the shadowban has NEVER been lifted.

I have left my account inactive for more than 15 days, hoping that the algorithm would re-evaluate my account, but that has never happened and never will.

I post the same things that others post, and I'm even more decent than others, yet they don't have this problem.

In fact, I'm thinking of permanently closing my account and starting from scratch with another account because it makes no sense to post if no one ever sees what you post.
