How To Avoid Paypal Scamming?

So, i'd posted yesterday how a customer filed a dispute (though unknowingly) for my design services.

Now, i'm thinking about the worst. Where i send my design to the client, he keeps it and then files a dispute.

What do you think is a foolproof way to avoid this? I was thinking about using services like tawk.to which logs the IP address of the client while messaging. Though I'm still unsure.

Would love to hear from someone who provides graphic design services and accepts payments via Paypal.

same problem as mine. we cant defend like this sells. maybe try some invoice or something semilarity proofs as a freelancer.
 
If its a dispute with only Paypal, you can win if you really did deliver service and have proof of chats and delivery etc...

If its a dispute with there credit card company, you have ZERO chance no matter how much proof you have.

let them send money to you as friends and family and they can allmost never chargeback.
maybe sign a contract or something?

That's the exact reason you should use a gateway to deal when you are dealing with digital products. You can try to counter the dispute by calling PayPal and explaining them the situation. Calling will make you look professional.

Yup i agree on the calling part. What gateway do you recommend? And what are the processing fees.
 
Stripe is the best and then 2checkout probably.
 
Depends what integrates with my client panel.
 
The only true way, is to send the file on a usb stick, Deliver to their house, the address on the pp account + tracking + signature

That's great, unless the client lives thousands of miles away.
 
I bought something the other day where I had to agree that it was a digital item and accept I couldn't get a refund, before purchasing it. You might want to try that, make them click a box so you have proof or something, might help your claim if it ever happens.

I don't remember the site sorry. Also there's a social panel Bst here which makes you comment in the notes section "I understand this is not refundable" something like that
 
Sign up at hellosign.com and once you've delivered the final website ask them to sign a completion agreement. If they screw you with a chargeback, present the completion agreeement.

Had a client screw me over for $750 worth of content he ordered from me. He paid the first half and I delivered content. He then went started ignoring me, while posting HAF threads here.

When I shitlisted him, he claimed he was a new guy and the old guy left. He then opened a chargeback for his first half and even orders previous to that. Fortunately, I deliver via Dropbox which timestamps everything. I sent Paypal the dropbox links and screenshots of the email of the delivery, they decided it in my favor.

TL;DR - Cover your bases.

yes there a way with paypal.

you advertise all your tos and stick by them as a rule .

no refund means no refund when work has been paid for.

paypal likes good adverts and fully exsplain full selling rules.

if you say your not getting any refund so please order knowing what you want , once paid via PayPal there be no refund .

paypal will back you in a desute.

This doesn't work because they say they paid for something which wasn't delivered.

There are various ways - digital download sites which track the IP etc. are recommended.

The other one is to use an email service with a pixel which picks up when an email was opened and provides the tracking data.

Conditions are largely irrelevant because Paypal offers buyer protection for unauthorised purchases or when a good/service hasn't been delivered.

Anything digital, the buyer can try to claim it wasn't delivered which is why you need to be able to prove otherwise.
