How To Avoid Paypal Scamming?

so digital not protected then.

there always be a lie to get away with it.

and thank you.

what about telling the user that you only sell thu paypal as i am paid as a friend or family member .

will that rule stop a dispute?

Paypal will limit your account if they find you're selling a good/service and being paid by F&F.

Digital goods are protected, if you can provide proof of delivery:

“Proof of Delivery” for intangible or virtual items or services is documentation satisfactory to PayPal that the item or service was provided to the buyer such as proof of download including the date of fulfilment.

Sign up at hellosign.com and once you've delivered the final website ask them to sign a completion agreement. If they screw you with a chargeback, present the completion agreeement.

Had a client screw me over for $750 worth of content he ordered from me. He paid the first half and I delivered content. He then went started ignoring me, while posting HAF threads here.

When I shitlisted him, he claimed he was a new guy and the old guy left. He then opened a chargeback for his first half and even orders previous to that. Fortunately, I deliver via Dropbox which timestamps everything. I sent Paypal the dropbox links and screenshots of the email of the delivery, they decided it in my favor.

TL;DR - Cover your bases.

Here is a sample Project Completion Form - https://www.docracy.com/0z72yk8p9tg/project-completion-form

Thanks for sharing this. Though I'm looking for alternatives now and i was recommended one from BTB, but that's a real dispute you solved with substantial evidence, makes me feel better!

You can see the shitlist here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/non-paying-client-almir012.886928/

But YMMV.

Paypal is known to side with the buyers in most cases. Also, if they have paid you through a credit card attached to their Paypal and do a chargeback through their Credit Card company, you're fucked.

Yup I've read some instances like this one, I'll be using Dropbox now, sharing the links to the designs there. The client takes a look, agrees with the design (this will get time stamped and will be provided alongwith the timing of the email I'd sent), then i send the full delivery + email (gets time stamped again).

Though not foolproof, it's better than nothing.
