Is youtube dead?

> Just make 2 videos a week on regular basis bro
Everyone does that

How the hell do you make it in 2020?
Literally HOW?

In 2020 with pandemic people are oversaturating the hell out of youtube.
Which other platforms can you use to market your brand?

Seriously, this is discouraging, knowing you spend a good week working on a video and it gets 300 views despite having all tags, chapters, cards, labels, captivating thumbnail, keywords, etc... keep uploading and no results. Of course, everyone else is doing the same.

If you believe your content is really that good. Just buy an adword threshold and run video discovery ads.

You will gain an initial momentum. Also target low competition keyword and just make content better than the competition.
 
Lets be honest. Youtube is over saturated. Its always a combination of
1. good content
2. optimizing key metrics (ctr, watchtime)
3. Luck (you always have to rely on some algo love, its so random sometimes)

What also helps is a huge ad budget for discovery ads, funneling the traffic from other platforms or knowing how to do blackhat. The truth is its not a reliable source of income without knowing what to do and momentum/luck. I had months with 10k revenue followed by months of 1k, videos can gain traffic out of nowhere or just get dead. In my opinion it can be a nice hobby that turns into a job but I would not recommend to invest weeks or months in time to make it work. There are more reliable ways of making money.

I feel you man, huh. The problem is a lot of things are kinda dead in 2020, we have a recession, that's kinda the point. Too many people staying home and literally immigrating to the internet. When people who normally work 'normal' offline jobs will stop being unemployed and go back offline it'll be better. Also it seems rules are harsher everywhere, it's like these corporations are following the government and adding more and more dumb rules.
 
All you could do is to use AdWord campaigns to optimize exposure. That too is a temporary boost.

Will a threshold account affect the YT account? Since you are changing the ad account many times?
 
If your reason for oversaturated is in your post. Than every viable way to earn money is oversaturated. The question will always be what you can do. To succeed? You post can also be typed like this, every one make content regularly? Yes everyone do that, but some succeed, some no . The question on YouTube will always be how to get the algorithm, can be making trending topics, using hype, using momentum from ads. You need to find which work for you.

ps YouTube and Im took time, some can start earning fast some got it after years of work with no income. It's more of what your plan is. Copying is not enough, you need to add your own understanding and experience on it, and also the right timing.
 
How so many people make money then. Optimize your workflow to make faster videos and have patience. That's all I can tell you. If I make 600$/month from yt, it equals my day job. Now, it depends where you live. Maybe 600$ for you it's nothing because you need 2k/month to make a living.
 
Yeah. Even locally it's saturated now.
There was a time I sold stuffs online on local marketplace with ease. And now even after paying for advertising, nobody buys anything and waste all the money. Now every top dick and harry is joining internet. Even in a secluded village now, I see people selling online :D Everybody is now into IM.
 
If everyone is struggling on Youtube, maybe don't do what everyone else is doing. There is no shortage of business and money to be made, and yet everyone goes for the most competitive and unprofitable ones.

You need bring something special, there a still a lot of good newcomers which win with nice content.
When you cant create nice content then thats the wrong place.

If internet is over-saturated then offline is the way?
Maybe good idea to focus on off-line activities during pandemic, so you can get head-start once it lessens.
But even then if you run offline business there will be people who will do the same and promote it online.
It's almost an absolute necessity to have online presence in 2020.
 
I've been recording gaming android games for six months with daily upload and I have over 180 videos and still nothing. Top 3 most viewed videos got me like 3k views in total. I know how to SEO and everything, I had some big channels before yt apocalypse but now its all about luck.

Well of course. Gaming is oversaturated. Every little kid who plays minecraft thinks he should do lets plays, because he can't think outside of box at all.

I dont understand your first question. Do you mean what options you have for youtube or in general?

As for blackhat, Im sure there are some guys (mostly vietnamese people) that know what to do. My opionion is that public panels dont work anymore. If you dripfeed HQ views, buy likes and comments you just waste a lot of ressources that could have invested in just legit ads. What works for youtube are still private bot networks and stuff like that. The best thing is in any area is to know someone that has insider knowledge. Always remember one thing: nothing good gets shared public. Every method that is gold will only be shared in a strong inner circle of reputed members. Stuff gets public when its dead or not profitable anymore. If you are lucky you get someone to mentor you but only if you are really smart and have input that can be useful. (Whoever reads this dont ask me for mentoring you)
Here are two things that will help anybody a lot.
1. Be creative, find your own methods, bugs, niches, money making methods that dont exist yet or are not public knowledge
2. Build a reputation. Nothing is more important to know guys that know what they are doing. Dont just take, give something and find people that are valuable and you can trust. Once you have a few of these people your circle will get bigger with time.

If you want to really make it on youtube (whitehat) you have to think outside the box.
There are a couple key things that make a youtuber successful:
  • Really good idea (You won't make it with another gaming channel, or unboxing channel, make money online channel etc. Think how mrBeast created something completely new and doubled down on it. Casey Neistat did the same he created something new that people liked)
  • Format (For example mr beast: Short introduction and straight to the point, interesting topic (ussually money lol), good editing, nice personality, and what is very important: clicbaity titles and thumbnails - but they never lie or clickbait)
  • Hard work (It took a few years just to achieve a relatively small following)
  • Timing (They discovered their magic recipe and rode the uptrend as their content started a new trend. They also had good timing with the populatization of money in social media)
  • Reinvestment (At the beginning MrBeast did not pay out any ads revenue for himself, only a little bit now as he is so big. He used to reinvest all of his revenue into videos. All of it. You made a million dollars - now you have to spend a million dollars. Totally crazy but it works in any industry)
  • Luck (We can't do anything here - but we can everywhere else)
If you want to achieve success on youtube you really need to reinvent the wheel - don't do the same thing as everyone else.
For inspiration I would recommend watching a few videos on mrbeast success (just search on yt). I also very much recommend watching mrbeast's interview with casey neistat - really interesting insight on how the guy thinks. He is really smart!

Please note that the above info is for whitehat youtube as I have no idea how blackhat youtube is done. It might give you the push you need who knows.
