How Should I Properly Make Comment Backlinks?

I was wondering about a number of things regarding commenting.

I was thinking what counts when making a comment backlink. Is it the space we fill in our website url that counts or when we comment and add the url of our website within the comment?

for example: what a nice post you got there, but you should visit example.com to get extra functions.

And does the website link in the comment has to be http://example.com or just example.com?

In your 2 examples only the last one works as there is a link in it, not the first one. In general any anchor will work, such as your URL, your brand, related and general keywords.

1) Thank you for your reply. By any anchor, you mean any text link pointing to my internal page or homepage, my brand name (MYbrand) and use of keywords in my comments related to my niche would work?

2) I want already have a list of blogs (like 400) that I want to comment my homepage url over time. Then I'll make post related comment with my internal links on forums. Will that do?

3) Can I do something like this in the comments I post: Definately MYbrand has that call back promo, and it's free. go here http://mybrand.com

I personally just use my real name or brand name in the name field and my homepage in the website field. I don't drop links in the actual comment unless it's really relevant and helpful. So far my acceptance rate is pretty high, over 50%. But I'm only using this for brand recognition and anchor text.

Yes it will work as if the url is accessible but my suggestion don't put the link at the end because less potential of people clicking it. Just my 2 cents here

Don't overthink it OP.
Make a comment as you would do anywhere, don't make it spammy and make it look real, and mix it up with URL, Brand, Keyword and Generic anchors.

Yea, and submitting your comment is one thing, another part would be to get the comment published (if site is moderated) or getting the comment to stick to that post. You can in fact enter Name: (your keyword/brand/anchor text), and website : (your website), and the content of your comment, in which the website field would be the link back to your site, and if the name is normally used as the anchor for your website, then it would be a bonus. Making a natural and informative comment would definitely get that comment published , which matters, otherwise, if it is not published, then it is not counted altogether.
