How quickly is possible to rank a name (2 words)?

Hello,

I don't have any experience with SEO, but I need for a client of mine to rank his new website (will be up within the upcoming days) that consist of his first name and last name. At the moment when I check Google, for his name popping up mostly social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc.).

(I am not experienced with SEO)

do some regular SEO, once you get the basics up like 2.0s and some bookmarks social profiles. Your domain will begin to appear above your social profiles. Good luck m8

You want to rank for your clients name.com ? unless he happens to share a name with a famous person that should be a three day job.

IF he has a youtube account add it to the description of his vids, even this should help it to rank it

Is it just a Vanity thing OP?
Unless he is well known and an expert/respected in his field then there will only be so much benefit to him.
Ask him why he wants the website named after him.
Some people consider themselves to be a brand but this isn't always the case or best course of action.

I believe this can be done quite fast if the name isn't some well know name with high competition.

It depends how popular that name may be as well as how many others may be building backlinks targeting that exact same name.

probably just turn your computer on, visit his website and just stair at it for a little while, that should do the job.

You can rank any unique phrase with one yahoo answer.

Google "who gets the first Katana in left for dead 2".

You will find that lelligtonstars does. 1 yahoo answer, took about 12 hours.

Its a standard SEO parlor trick.
