Is there good money in real estate keywords?
I live in a smaller city/town and the big sites like trulia, realtor.com, etc don't dominate the front page.
And there is also little advertising, which makes me wonder how profitable it is?
If I can rank for "city real estate", where can I make money with this? These people are just looking to buy houses, or just looking for the hell of it. How could I get a cut of it? Other than selling advertising space? I don't want to make a couple hundred dollars a month. If I'm going to put the time in, I want to make some good money.
What about "city realtors". It's a somewhat popular keyword. But how many people really need a realtor, it seems everyone knows atleast ten people that are realtors.
Do any of you guys have experience with these keywords?
I mean what if I ranked for "city realtors", got my real estate license, and even made just one deal a month. It seems like it would be worth it? But like I said, there isn't a lot of advertising in Google, and doesn't seem to be a ton of competition in general, so I wonder how profitable it is?
Problem #2. The big sites like Trulia don't rule the front page now, but you'd think they eventually will for my town. If I put all this work in and get all my business via google. If those sites eventually bump me out, I'll be wiped out. Guess I could deal with that when it happens, but actually becoming a realtor for this is a big deal, and will take some work, so I don't want to do it for it to be profitable for a few months to a year.
Any thoughts? I just needed to get my thoughts out in the op[ena nd hopefully there are some here with some RE experience that can shed some light on the subject.
THanks!
