I've given up on major social media platforms five years ago. The alternative ones that I do have accounts on serve more as meme accounts and don't really share any personal info on them.
I have a vpn server setup in my LAN so when I want to access the internet with some obfuscation while I'm out of my network, I just connect to the VPN.
Instead of chrome, I use Brave (which is basically the same thing, but hey Brave harps about privacy) and my default search engine is Startpage.
If I want to buy something online on a platform I don't trust yet, I use privacy.com to mask my banking information.
I'm not hardcore, I use stock Android on my phone and still have a gmail account. So, if someone really wanted to fuck me over, they still can. But I generally don't like sharing personal info out in the public.
