Does google/FB/ ect know much about you? How do u protect yourself from ur smartphone spying?

Google can predict where u will be next year with an 80%+ accuracy. (Time and date at this location, ect)

First step is to get a phone without Google Play.

Second, when you surf the Internet, make sure you are not logged in on any other online service.

Third, disable GPS.

Fourth, use your own mail address (domain), avoid Gmail.

Fifth, don't use Chrome or any other Google app, if possible.

Sixt, avoid posting what you eat and where you are on Facebook.

... and plenty of other things.

The best way is to not have a social life and don't have a smartphone.

I don’t use Facebook.
I don’t use any google services but google search and I’m not signed in.
Apple knows everything about me. So I’m not very private I guess. Same thing either way :/

That is either a hyperbole or not scientifically tested.

Cause of that were the case, Google wouldn't be flooding me with CBD ads even though I have given zero fucks about it. I haven't visited a single site related to that niche.

Do you realize that, if you would give me your daily locations from the last 2 years, I can probably predict where you're going to be tomorrow with a 90% accuracy?

You can go full Amish and not be a part of society.

Or you can just be normal and treat technology like it's at YOUR disposal, not the other way around.

I actually like that Google knows the shit I browse and serves me ads I MIGHT be interested in.

I mean, I spend all day looking on google about PV panels and batteries.
The last thing I want is for google to serve me ads about unfulfilled dildo shipments (@Willyfish)

Yes that is the positive aspects of it, but your data is sold to anybody including people who want to harm you. Esp true for dissidents or if u do not agree with your government (example: canadian trucker donators who had everything banned including bank accounts)

I am still pretty pissed off about this, @bartosimpsonio ignores me and didn't send me my 150 dollars on paypal for the moral prejudice neither.

Will going totally private really benefit you that much?
You are nothing but a dot in these huge corporation lives

Privacy is a big thing but really... to what degree are you willing to give up for easy accessibility

Great, they better give me a fucking travel discount that time next year.

There's nobody who wants to harm you.

Except if you donate a bunch of cash to some dickheads blocking up roads. Then yeah, they should totally sell your data.

But all jokes aside, this was creating some uproar 6-8 years ago, maybe.
Today, you either use their services, or don't. Everything else falls into the tin foil har category.

Totally private might be a bit much but to some degree everyone should.

How many cities did BLM or Antifa light up? Were they doxxed? Was their info sold? I am not saying that it wasn't but I honestly doubt that it was. They literally took over part of Seattle. Give me a break. To insinuate that some truckers making a legitimate political statement, their information should be "totally sold" is asinine to me.

As far as a smartphone goes, there is absolutely no privacy at all or at the best, use such devices in a manner in which you know that you have zero privacy, no matter who claims what.

I think it is not possible to be protected and hidden anymore. Every app you download has a tracker.

I use so many different profiles that it would be tough to find out about the real me.

I am hardcore private. Some time i try to send pm to my own username.

Google gives best search results. I have Kaspersky toolbar installed which blocks tracking.
