That is a significant size for an account for your average Joe.
If those followers are targeted and not randomly added you can build a nice little brand in addition to the shoutouts and ads mentioned by @tokstesla.

You got a account with 500k but no idea how to monetize? lol, takes work and effort to monetize it the good way because you can totally fuck it up, if you unsure how to do it, either hire people, sell the account or keep growing it while you learn how to monetize it in the meanwhile.

With an account that size you can do a lot! Ads, shoutouts, selling mentions, build your own store and market it with the acc... etc etc.
