How often to ping new content

Personally, I ping new content only once, more specifically just after its creation. I was wondering if it is advisable to ping more often.

1. Should I ping more often for better results or not?
2. How fast do ping sites ban for multi-pinging?
3. If multi-piniging is advisable, how long to ping unchanged content?

yes its true, u should only ping each post only once.

If u ping your posts multiple times and repeatedly, chances r google might put u in sandbox.

In the end, pinging is useless IMO. A ping might get you indexed but it won't get you ranked. You're far better off looking into a way to get a link to your new content. A link, even a low quality one will be more than ten times better than a ping... again, IMO.

I stopped pinging a while ago and focused on getting links to new content. It's made a HUGE difference to my indexing, ranking, and traffic.
