How much you care about Bing?

Hey,

for the past years I haven’t done anything related to Bing, but nowadays I see it more and more often as a topic for search engines.

So I’m kinda interested of how many of you guys even care about Bing.

Is there even notice able traffic from Bing?

Do you need to do anything else for Bing that you do for google? Because since it’s a search engine too, and backlinks, on page SEO are already done for google.

It's all about volume, volume, volume when it comes to bing.
No search volume, keywords are worthless.
You gotta find a niche with large volume to work with.
You can get that data in ahrefs, that i know of.
 
I have found Bing traffic to be better than Google traffic but obviously not as much traffic. I don't SEO for Bing anymore than I already SEO for Google.

I get bing traffic but as you say, it is very little traffic.

To the OP, just submit your site to Bing webmasters tools, submit your sitemap. Leave it to fallow, your site would eventually start ranking. But the thing is, bulk of the keywords have very low search volume. Search volumes are crazy low!

When it comes to spam, Bing works great and brings most of my clicks (~80%) from bing itself and it's affiliated search engines (yahoo, duckduckgo...) that use the bing index.
Going whitehat, you don't need much more, but getting it in the webmaster tools and submitting the sitemaps of course.

Bing works a bit different than google, though - but this is more interesting for blackhat methods on spam pages. It's a bit more oldschool on the one hand, but way more aggressive with penalties and serp deindexing. But the honeymoon phase is kind of insane and makes you rank for very high value keywords for a limited time. I ranked for "Star Wars" on the first place in Germany for example.
 
For some niches Bing is all I care about. The user base tends to be older, less computer savvy, but with deeper pockets. Find a product that's target demographic is older and that has a high ticket price, build a non-flashy site promoting it, and then be prepared to wait while the end user remembers how to use their credit card.

Not to forget are offices. In a lot of offices, bing is the standard search engine, since edge is the standard browser. Wich works great for amazon spam, you often get big orders with >10x the same article ;)
 
Bing represents about 7% of US traffic, the audience is older, wealthier and generally converts better. If that is your target audience, then bing is for you, otherwise it is not.
 
Bing is good but everyone use google, so you always need to search where all the traffic is, with google you have a fight to stay in the first page, but so far is the most used and that gives you more benefis from all
 
I didn't pay much attention to Bing before. GG's interface and features are better
 
I figure any seo i do is for all the search engines. Thats it. Can be getting into the nitty gritty of what to do about goo and bing and yahoo and duck. Fuck that. One seo to rule them all.

The Only step i take individually, all my websites are added in google, bing/yahoo and yandex webmaster tools. With sitemaps.

Thats it.

But i dont much care about seo anyway. I get my money and customers on my charms and good looks. Dont care about no seo :p

About 15% and with a target group in younger ages as well. A lot people forget about duckduckgo, ecosia or yahoo - this all sums up and they all are using bing's index.

That’s what I was thinking about.

even if it’s between 7%-15% , like if someone would ask me that if I want that much more traffic I would obviously say yes, so that’s why I feel like Bing could not be ignored at this point.

In addition, they usually have deeper pockets than the average Google user. So, if that’s your target audience, it is a good idea to invest some time and money into ranking well on Bing. While the search volume might not be that high, if you pick your content and products well, you can make great money.

But DuckDuckGo is mostly used by people younger than 35... And uses the Bing Index as well. In the US, it even outranked bing. SEO for bing is not just for bing, that's why a lot of people tend to underrate it.

And what never to forget is that you never know how things will change about google.
Just remember how Nokia was the number1 phone brand, and its vanished.

So if you care about bing today, it might be a huge factor in like 3-8 years.
 
Bing is only 4.67 % in my country (UK), so I couldn't care less.

About 5-10% in UK, depending on the research and data used. 4,67% is the marketshare by used bandwidth, wich is a more usefull value, than just users of course, but still to take with a grain of salt. and you have to include yahoo, ecosia, duckduckgo and so on, all of em are using bing index - so you can calculate about 10-15% marketshare of the bing index. Wich might be a value, one should care about ;)
