How much would YOU pay for a professional logo?

I am a designer, clients are willing to pay huge dollars if they really want to get something done and are serious about their business. Sometimes the saying "you get what you pay for" is not true, there are very good designers out there who offer their services at a very cheap rate but that doesn't mean the quality is bad. You just have to look for the right person for the job.

With some experience from freelancing sites, you can get logo for $5. but how much you pay, that much you get usually. (not rule!) Most of the logos are done between $30 and $100. Number of reviews also dictate the price!

Only if your clients are Fiverr clients. I am in the content writing business and even though there are hundreds of gigs selling articles for $5 I can say that this will never ruin my business. There are 6-7 Billion humans out there, do you really think everybody have a $5 budget?

I would pay aroung $50

I would pay around 15-20$ ... honestly its all depends on the buyer ... selling for small timer u gonna get less big company might pay u lot etc

Personally, I have hired people from ScriptLance, it's now Freelancer, but oh well. I managed to get some great logos for $30, with various samples and revisions. Some people may pay you $XXX-$X,XXX, it depends on your client as many people already stated.

I don't think someone will invest $100 on a logo for MSN, now if you are the owner of an online store or authority site, I would def put some money on it!

Personally, I'd pay up to about 100 dollars if I need it.

Fiverr logos are ok if you have a small time online business or personal blog maybe but you just can't risk it if you care about your brand. I've read this story about legalriver who outsourced their logo creation and the worker just took a logo from another company and changed the color slightly. The problem was that the company where the guy took it from was a Law Firm. Imagine the problems after that.

I have a friend who studied graphics design for four years in the university. All her conceptualization are from scratch or improvements from previous company logos of the same client. She charges a minimum of $300 for the logo. She's enraged about the current low prices of graphic designs but I keep telling her that

"these low prices are for customers who cannot afford your top class services anyway. Sooner or later, they will have issues. Better to stick to your high prices and concentrate on the big companies who need your kin of service."

I have nothing against cheap logo sellers. I think it's good (even for my graphic artist friend) that these cheap sellers exist. It all depends on how designers play their hands.

What I am concerned about is copyright infringement. If you are a client of a cheap logo seller, and the seller copies work from another company, you might be in for a trainwreck.

Remember that copyright laws cover derivatives of a person's work.

Your logo is the face of your business. So if you take your business seriously, you don't want to save your money by getting a cheap logo. A good logo is not about fancy graphics, but it's about the ideas and meaning behind it. I personally would not pay anything for a logo because I'm student graphic designer, I'd invest a lot of time and make one myself.

If you have a professional site that offer's professional service's then you need a PROFESSIONAL LOGO.

Fiverr will cut it if you want a quick cheap logo, but I don't recommend it.

Designing logo is not only that simple. I have done 3 magazine cover design in Singapore. Each I got USD200.
There are many things to do and logo design needs to edit many times.

If you really understand the significance of a logo in building the brand of a small business, you would certainly not want to go for that $5 option. A professionally designed logo is a lot more than a small piece of graphics. So, be careful!
