How much would a website that makes $100 a month sell for?

Honestly I would just keep building it up - from what I've heard, website flipping is horrible.
Just build it up to $500 a month, or learn what made it successful, then turn it into a scalable business model.
Don't sell your assets (unless you need to, or to finance bigger assets). Build them up.

Anyone who is selling a site that makes only $100 a month is...

1. Sure no more money can ever be made from it.
2. Knows that more money could be made but wants the cash.
3. Is desperate for cash.

Either way, probably worth 6X monthly revenue at best on a quick sale.

Depend On Your Site Quality. (How Many Articles, Quality all.)
if Your Site has 5 to 20 articles, and earning 100 per month, I think 500 Will be Good Price.
But If you have 100+ Articles, it can sell for 1200-1800 usd also.

Since when you earnings.

In my opinion, not a lot as $100 a month is not a lot of money, unless there is potential for the site to grow.

If the site is set and forget and the $100 a month profit is a genuine figure then as a rule of thumb it's 12 x profit. It's a rule of thumb because some niches are going to be more like 6 months of earnings, others maybe more than 12.

BUT

Why are you selling? Genuine question. Why you giving away your income if it's so easy to make? And let me ask you this, how much time do you spend on the site each month? Updating, adding content etc etc? Because the one overwhelming thing I've seen from website sellers is that when it comes to profit a lot of people do the basic calculation of:

(income) - (hosting + domain name renewal + advertising) = $100 profit

without considering that they've also spent 40 hours that month of their own time on the site. So the profit in that case isn't strictly worth $100, it's worth $100 / 40 hours = $2.5 an hour which is measly.

So, yeah lots of calculations to be done.

The best answer so far is that the website is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

I think that you should show a picture or just write a bit more information about your website: Niche/Daily visitors/Monthly/Revenue from the past 12 months/What work is needed/What time do you spend a day/month for the website. Stuff like that, so people can give a bit more accurate information.

You should also tell us how much amount of work this site needs. If it's (almost) work-free, 10x the monthly income is OK. It's also necessary to exclude some pitfalls (like non-organic traffic). I'd would also ask myself whether I'd be able to find a writer to keep expanding this blog, and, obviously, the question of why the present owner is selling will always pop-up in my mind too.

I would say 10x on average. If your buying, I would dig deeper then just looking at the profits they post an image of because flippa is a breading ground for scammers.

Not sure if anyone would buy that or not. it's just too low.

I have seen deals that go around 6x to 8x the revenue - but there are other factors to address as well such as the volatility of the website and what your scheme is.

If the earning is stable for last 6 month then around $2000.

It depends a lot on the age of the site and how long it has been making money. If it is a comparatively new website then don't expect more than 8-10 times. But an aged site with consistent earnings can command in the range of 20-30 months earnings.

It depends on you and your site that how much you want to get from purchaser.
If I'll sell this type of site with quality content then, I'd sell my site 15 times more than the earning of my site. It's not easy to earn more money from a site.

Seems like it really depends on what niche and type of site you have...

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it ;)

Low end 8x revenue - high end around 20-25x. some could be much higher depending on the site and potential.
