How much trouble???

How much trouble and what kind can I get into for making a site about a rather large corporation that I did business with & due to their negligence, I & my 3 children were almost killed.

the site would be http:www.mythiscompanynamenightmare.com

they have low competition and the words seem to be easy enough to rank for.

Any help is appreciated

it depends if all court proceedings have finished / not intending to go to court over it.

As if you created this during any proceedings for liable action then i certainly would not recommend doing so

Haven't filed any court papers as of yet. I went back to the company and gave them a chance to fix the situation. All they offered me was $250. I would like to try and find out what type of liability insurance this company is required to have. It is a well known auto repair shop.
 
Well, if you do intend to go to court it would probably hurt your chances, since your account of what happened is online and they can pick it apart.
 
there really isnt much to pick apart. They charged me for a service and did not put my car back together correctly. Because of that, a wheel came off my car while driving 50 mph on a highway at 2am. I had to call the police (call recording and transcript as well as officer card are in mypossesion). After it happened, I called the owner of the store and left a message from my cell phone (phone records can verify). He said it was my fault the accident occurred. I asked him to compensate me for my last days of work as well as giving me the entire cost of the repair for free since they almost cost me and my 3 children our lives. All he offered was $250 and insulted me.

I am trying to figure out how I want to proceed in this manner. FYI- I found out that the location is a franchise but that the owner has to pay money to the main corporation. I called the corp headq and they told me there was nothing they could do.
 
You are trying to talk to them? Nothing will ever get done that way. Get a lawyer to write a threatening letter, you'll make giant leaps in your case.

This could be a candidate for punitive damages - they put your life in danger due to negligence, maybe the next family wont be so lucky. I wouldn't make a site or do anything until you speak to a lawyer.

In the past few hours, I have received several responses from over 10 law firms that I contacted. No one will take the case b/c we were not injured.
 
in that case, go to your local media. they have investigative teams that do this stuff

if they don't bite either, make that site and destroy some reputation

The problem with going to the local media is that I was on vacation visiting my mother when this happened. She lives 900 miles from me. I had to come back home b/c my children have school.
 
I"m not sure about any trouble, but I think that it is a great idea for a couple of reason's.

1) if you know anything about seo - you can blast this, and open it up for anyone to add to the site about other companies.

2) set it up so that any comes to the site and coments about this company - sent an email to them and Head Quarters. (that will help or should help them correcting their way of doing business)

3) Add some adsence and any other ways of money making and you will get your 250+ in the long run.


There are a few companies out there that really need seo done to de-tur potential customers from doing business with them (IMO)
 
Well If all goes well, I will be outranking the main corp site in about 6 months. I would like to get the help (I will be paying) of 2 certain members here. I know they are capable of helping me to achieve my end goal.

None of this would have even been a thought if I would have been treated fairly in the first place.
 
Make sure you host offshore .. domain also.
 
The domain I already purchased with domain privacy. There is a member here that has offshore hosting to keep it away from prying eyes

Hit the user teeniegeenie up about the domain question via a PM; I'm sure he will give you an idea as to whether it is legal or not and possibly point you in the right direction.

Also, check your email as I just sent something there.

What is your unit of measure? You could call their lawyers, they'll give you some feedback?
