Can one ever have too much traffic, once its targeted? Nah.

Untargeted traffic can still be useful though.. But finesse must be used to warm it.... and no hard selling..... Information, opt in, and conditioning.

exactly. it depends upon the website needs. like if you have any social networking site it can be more than 500 and may be 1000, but if you have any business website than 100 quality visitor is good enough

Thanks for all the replies guys. I have found that SERP traffic most of the time has a low conversion rate because:

-They can be just browsing
-May not be interested

I have found the best way to get targeted traffic is to gain reputation on a related forum and put a link in in the signature. I have gotten as much as 30% conversion rate from forums. Hope this helps.
