how much to pay a virtual assistant?

it's all depend with jobs,

i think, ideal work time for $300 is 5-6 hour for office task

if the task more than office job, you should pay more (exaple : create a program, edit video, photo, Etc) , that my opinion.

I think of it in several ways.

The first is whether you get value by paying $300. If the value of the output is more than the cost of hiring the VA, then value is being generated for you.

The second is whether you're paying too much. If you can hire someone to do the same job at a lower price, then you could have more value generated.

The third is that you can create value in many ways. You might pay $300 and offer a share of profits. That might motivate the VA to work harder or produce better work. Or you might offer to educate the VA as to how to do something that in itself can be sold as a service. If you're creative, you can generate much more for both of you. At the end of the day, the economics 101 view of labour as a resource that has a monetary value is over-simplistic. There are multiple dimensions as to how to work with someone else.
