how much to pay a virtual assistant?

If i was to hire a full time virtual assistant , how much would it cost? How much are you guys paying and what all tasks do you assign to them?

I have found one VA for $300 a month , gonna start the work tomorrow, hope it will make my life much easier

$300 a month is fine. It's similar to what I pay. The most important & hardest thing to manage is communication but good luck!

It's a good rate. You can assign any task your VA can perform, or you can train for the additional tasks he may not be familiar with.
 
It depends actually.

What kind of VA u r looking for?
Experienced or you will train them?
Do you need tools included or u will provide them?
Which country is the VA from?

$300 is not a bad amount for a good SEO expert who can do some major stuff.

$300 for 80 hours per month is $3.75 per hour. Try to think if and what level of expertise can be provided for 3.75 an hour.

If you're looking for an expert in something, I wouldn't really rely on getting much help for this money. However, if you want a general VA that will only repetitive tasks to take off your workload from you, then I think you got a fair price.

I dont need to hijack this thread, I only had to post because I am thinking of hiring a VA for SEO, and I see experienced people making comments here.
The issue is I need to itemize the basic things an SEO VA should engage in on a daily/weekly basis. I have 3 big websites and need to make them bigger
 
Interesting thread. Regarding using VA´s for SEO. Is that in term of technical, link building or for writing content?

Do you think it could be replicated for google ads also?

Absolutely. I don't understand people who agree on $2 an hour. I am a VA and would never even consider such peanuts.
 
It depends on what task you give them if it is data entry then it is fine I think... But when you give this to an SEO or Design VA then it is nothing.
 
Payment is fine you can assign task related calling, mailing or if va know seo then you can tell for create link building for site or posting content much more work you can assign and then you are totally free and concentrate on growing other things..
 
It depends on what type of work u need the VA to do. If its generic data entry - then can get a full time VA at 250-300$.
 
It depends on what the VA is doing for you. If the VA is just copy/pasting, let's say some files from one folder to another that can be automated by almost any script/bot, then $300 is too much because you can find a developer that can automate that process for a much lower investment. On the other hand, if the VA is doing some complex job, and in the process, and it's making you a lot of money, then paying the VA even $1500/mo is little.
To summarize, it depends on what kind of job the VA is doing for you and how much is helping you to profit from hiring him/her. Did the VA had previous experience or you will need to teach him/her.
Let me throw some numbers here. Some fair payment will be from 70-90% of the money that you are earning additionally from VA's help. Of course, this means that the VA is not requesting additional help from you, meaning he is knowing what he/she is doing. Another thing that you will need to consider is how much you have invested in your project, if you have invested a lot then the the share (%) can be lower for VA.
 
Yeah as others mentioned, you really get what you're paying... But for easy no skill work, 300/month seems fine.
 
Defo experience and being a self-starter helps. I guess developing a long and trusting business relationship is a consideration. Chopping and changing assistants throughout the life of a project is exhausting and standards fluctuate quite visibly. Still, $300 (even for a week) would not take me very far. Different strokes for different folk.
 
It all depends

If article writer, how is the English and how many articles

I think article writer or social media is paid the most

Stuff like blog comments, low level stuff paid the least

Then there is outreach
