how much is safe to have in paypal?

I do about $60,000 a month with Paypal, and I am withdrawing the money every day. Sometimes TWICE a day. '

A couple of years ago they limited my account for verification purposes, and asked me to give them over a dozen items to show that I was who I said I was. After getting all of that done, I have made it a point to always withdraw the money out.

If they want to, they will limit your account, and you will not have access to that money at all. Remember, Paypal is not classified as a bank, so therefore they do not have to adhere to the normal 'rules and regulations'

Basically, that money isn't even yours until it reaches your bank account.
 
$0 is safe, but never go with safe. Always leave some, but not a lot of money in there - It's just considered better to prevent your account from getting limited.
 
it is true that PayPal can any time limit/suspend your account therefore you should have all your documents for the verification ready.
 
paypal is corrupt they are money hungry scumbags who believe they are entitled to all your funds.
I never keep funds in my account and I advise you to do the same
 
Word of advice-

I have got my PayPal limited twice and I sell alot on ebay. First time was completely random and they asked for my ID and proof of address. I provided them with those documents. This time, as I was selling alot of items on eBay, they limited my account. Thankfully, I am selling giftcards and I legitly buy them from the store. They limited my account with over 1k in there and asked me to provide them with invoices of the giftcard and provide shipping #s for all transactions. Im pretty sure I will get it unlimited but I have learned my lesson, I will always withdraw most of my money in my paypal.
 
I hate PayPal. They love to give us horrible time every now & then.

Just don't know why people keep using or preferring paypal despite their horrible activity with our accounts for no reason. :(

Moneybookers is a good option but they have problems with USA. Alert Pay is also cool, But they are not popular in USA.
 
I read somewhere you can withdrawal up to $500/month without red flags, and then once you've done that up to $10k you can pull out as much as you want after that. I don't know if it was true.
 
Don't keep any money in Paypal - make withdrawals daily if you have regular money coming in. They will limit your account for the dumbest reasons - such as accessing your account from a different country (they don't seem to realize that people take vacations, business trips...)
 
PayPal loves to take your money and they are good at catching you off guard. I finally just had to deal with the fact that they would always be holding some of my money and they normally have a hold of 5-10k at a time, it is a real pain in the ass cuz I could be earning with that money. I would at least sign up for Money Market or whatever it is called, the percentage you get on what they hold is lousy but if they are going to have it something beats nothing.
 
Draw it as fast as you can people that send money can something open a case on paypal for no reason and then you will have problems, the smartest thing is not to keep much in your paypal. surly paypal is not your bank account.
 
Yeah, I'd defnitely get switched to a business account, and until then I agree with virtualc08, I would keep around 1k in there until it was a business account. When they see you getting large amounts of money in there they will start to get suspicious that you are doing business and not reporting it. They don't want any trouble.

be careful not to take it all out at once i tried this with 2000 euros and they stopped it!!!
 
i keep maybe 1 penny in there, and im worried about that sometime with paypal
 
I had my account on hold when I had $2200 in PP last month after ebay limited my account. I sent many information to them and they lifted the limit and I took the money to my bank but I keep about $300 in PP in case some buyers needs refund anytime. I sold a lot last few months. I know PP again can limit it anytime so I am always scared!!
