How much is a Dentist lead worth?

When I rent out my sites to local businesses I try to make it as easy as possible for them to make money on the rental. This means I don't get top dollar but I'm doing this as a second source of income besides my "day job", so I don't care. For a dentist site I would look at anywhere from $750 to $2,000 a month depending on where you live, but there are others that will want more. Make it easy for the dentist to start renting from you. Do a month-to-month contract (nothing long term) and don't ask for money up front. Let the site speak for itself. You'll come off more legitimate that way and have a much easier time renting the site out.

I have a few ways to hook a business for my rentals. One way is to just call one at random and explain to him/her that you have a site generating leads and you would like to forward all calls/inquiries to their office until you find someone to rent it out. Of course, they'll say yes (who doesn't want free leads, right?) and then they'll immediately say after that "I would be interested in renting it from you when you are ready. You then say "great, it should be ready in 5-7 days. You wait 5-7 days and sign them up.

You could also look at what dentists are already trying to advertise online, especially with Adwords. Dentists who are trying adwords will appreciate what you are offering better than other dentists.

The key is to speak to the dentist. One way is to speak with the receptionist. Use the approach I explained above about sending free leads to the dentist until you are "ready" to rent the site out and the dentist will usually call back. If you are able to schedule a face-to-face meeting, keep it short (10 mins max) and quickly explain what you're doing. They'll either want the site or be done with you by then.

You are offering a valuable service, so be confident and don't be afraid to fail!!

Good luck!

great advice. im using a method very similar to this. people appreciate free but hate to buy. use this logic wisely

Hello,

I would like to ask is this how the procedure work?
for example: I am in London, lets says, zone 1 - Victoria.

I go and approach the Dentist and talk to him about this and I pass him the leads?
The question is how much does it cost per targeted local lead?

One idea to consider is the reciprocity angle = give him 3 leads, one at a time, then ask if he wants the service to continue. I would NOT talk to anyone but the dentist herself, not the secretary or office manager. If you look them up on Google Places, find an email you can send a teaser email saying you want to pass leads, ask for a 5 min conversation to make sure it's the type of business she wants and you'll need to speak to the dentist herself, not staff.

It depends on so many factors, but I would say around 10 bucks.

Depends,

Just curious

Have you gotten any clients for your advertisements yet?

It depends on the type of leads you're providing. Is it a call or form info? Is it for teeth cleaning or cosmetic dentistry? Depending on the answers, the rate for the lead can vary widely. I'd look up 800 dentist and get some rate from there by calling up the doctors who are listed with them.

I built and operated one of the largest lead referral networks in teh US. Google emergency dentist, and then google emergency dentist and a major city... the URL you keep seeing at the top is mine. I have the specific rates that 1800dentist charges for emergency leads as well as general leads. It's actually based on geography. PM me and lets chat.

I would understand the renting of the site factor but how do you go about capturing leads ? if ppl look for a dentist in general why would they fill out a form or call and leave a message ? why not look at g places or sites that let you do appointments ?

I'd say a lead is worth at lest 100$ and up. When you go do any work in the dentist weather its cleaning or a filling or tooth removal you're bound to pay at least 100$ or more. Besides if they do good work you will probably return, thus becoming a recurring customer, which is worth even more $$

I'm curious as to what the Dentist will do with your leads? I'm not comfortable with professionals such as doctors and attorneys doing telemaketing or contacting me directly for business. I'm sure they have ethical standards of practice on this that can affect their license.

I have recieved the occasional "new dentist in area" in my snail mail box. Other than that, I've only seen adverts on TV and in the yellow pages.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just trying to learn something new here.

i have about 1600 people looking for a dentist in their own area within the US, but my traffic is not targeted... do you guys have any idea which affiliate program i should redirect the traffic to?

thanks in advance
