i have been wondering about how much does an account's past Really impacts on performance/approval. When you compare different account options, do you usually consider account's age, previous performance, verification, billing history etc? For people who have tested accounts from different providers, which one of these factors was the most important based on your experience?

Definitely I believe the past is really important for us. Actually, I start by looking at past performance and verification, following by account age billing history. Based on my observations, having a clean background and consistent past performance and more important than simply having and old accounts.

It does matter, accounts with prior billing and campaign history perform more stable than fresh ones.

Google accounts with spending history are generally more stable, but you need to make sure there are no billing issues with the account and that there were no previous policy violations.

yeah account age helps but i think clean history and good billing history matter more. an old account with bad history wont help much

From my experience, age is not the main thing I'd look at. A clean account with consistent billing and completed verification is a much safer sign.

The history of an account may play some role in this process but i would concentrate rather on policy adherence verification billing history and account activity account age would not be the only criterion here.

honestly billing history is king but you also have to look at what niche was running on it before. if it has a clean history running super safe whitehat stuff and you suddenly launch aggressive campaigns, it triggers security flags anyway. age is definitely overrated though, a 5 year old idle account is basically the same as a fresh one.

It matters way more about the campaign that you're doing when you're running google ads specifically. It varies but in my experience, how long you've had it is important but the type of thing you're doing is more important

This topic is much more nuanced than the definition of an account with “existing history” might suggest. Based on all the data they have on you, Google assesses and manages the level of risk you represent according to its own interests. Therefore, advertising spend alone isn’t enough.

In fact, accounts whose advertising spend dates back a while, and which isn’t connected to the same original billing profile, can still suffer from silent spending limits (separate from the famous $2 limit shown in the dashboard). This is precisely part of how Google manages the level of risk associated with the actor you represent to its services.

If you want to run on accounts with existing history, make sure to ask the seller whether they have removed this limit, and how much they spent per day during the warm-up campaign. $2/day during warm-up isn’t enough. You need more—not necessarily to build more trust, but because a spending limit around that level is precisely within the range of a potential silent spending limit on your account, even though that limit increases over time as you continue running ads. Therefore, you can’t really know whether the account has a limit or not.

Finally, I’d say that, ultimately, almost any account can work for you. What will really make the difference is the quality of the assets you use, combined with proper warm-up on both Google and Google Ads (yes, even on Google itself) before launching.

account age can help a bit, but if the history has issues then an old account wont save it. clean history and verified details matter more.

Clean spend history and verified billing definitely reduce initial review times but account age alone is way overhyped. An old account that sat idle for years will still trigger instant suspicious payment checks if you launch high budget campaigns right away.

it matters like 50% i would say, as that's what Google mainly checks when doing their internal reviews etc
