Okay this might be a silly question but I'm down and out and need around $4k So I can pay off my ticket and get a car.
My first money site gets around 400-500 unique views per day. It makes around $10 per day. It has a twitter page with around 1.5k followers, 1.7k fb fans, 1k fb likes, 400 1+'s, 300 tweets. But it's PR0. The site is about 4 months old and has dropped from big g and has come back up once. I'm just thinking if it makes $3k a year couldn't I get that much for it now? I would hate to sell it because its my baby but having my L's and a some what drivable car for my family would be golden.

What's its current ranking? When did the traffic dropped?

You could get as much as 10-12 months income for your website but that income needs to be consistent from the last 6-10 months atleast.

Main Keyword is #7 9,000 for local usa traffic. The site dropped from main keywords for about 10 days. Most likely due to backlink indexing.

you can go to flippa and look at other people's site offers to see how much your site should cost(click "just sold"),
check the description and see how much traffic the site gets and how much it earns
and you'll be able to see for how much it was bought for.

*accidentally posted twice... please ignore...*

You could just look it up on google I found many sites. (Still wondering if it is legit though.)

Based on the info you have given me, I'm gonna assume that you monetize with Adsense?

Given the current stats, I think you could only maybe get around $1500 for it.

Too little earnings history to justify a 10x price tag. You said the site is only 4 months old, so I assume at most you only have a couple of months of earnings to show.

You definitely are not gonna get the $4k you need. I would think you could only get somewhere in the 4-6x your monthly earnings with those stats, and even that would be tough.

Hey thanks for showing me this. I guess I'm hanging with the big boys. I have 12,000 Unique views per month. Maybe I should monetize a little bit more ;)

the dropping twice rings alarm bells. Has it been penalised at all?

Usually I see people price their websites based on the monthly income x 10 - 20 value in range, but flippa is a good market place if you're looking for big offers.

It is only valued x10-x12 if your earnings is stable (1 year).

But it is 4 months old with $300 a month. The site might range to 1.5k - 2k if you asked me.

No, I was banned from adsense :( (a n00b decision on my part)

Yeah, first time was when penguin update rolled out. But I quickly diversified all anchor texts on tier 1 links and within a day it was back to #5. Strangely enough most other keywords where not effected. Second time It dropped to around #100 and danced at #150'ish.

Thanks, its good to know. My ticket is only $1.3k so if I sell it at least I can overcome one obstacle.

You are better off holding on to it for another 2-3 months to get some history. If you can increase the traffic in those 2-3 months - even better.

another option.....
post a JV with someone and work the site (promote it more) for a further 3-6 months,
then give them 20% of selling price to cover their work,
My guess mid $1,xxx at the moment, but in 6 months
maybe worth twice that amount, well worth holding on for now.

Hope that helps (and not confuse you even more) :)
Good Luck
