How much accurate is ahrefs keyword search volume?

if the accuracy reference is Google data, its about 90% beacuse I'm running ahrefs keyword research about 2-3 years and find out they have similliar result with google almost 90% :) better than other kw research tools

Most of the time it is accurate, obviously some time there will be big differences, but it's totally normal. Usually, there is a standard variation of 20%.
 
Very less accurate. Use Google Keyword planner instead.
GKP gives exact searches even when spending $1/month on ads.

Hi,

I wondered about this so you will get unlimited data from Google Planner just by spending that much on an advert?

I got the Google Keyword Planner on spending INR 50/m (less than $1). It may vary by country and account history and IDK that.
You can try..

The values shown in ahrefs are usually so inaccurate. I rely more on the Google auto suggest than ahrefs

Sorry what currency are you referring to and also is that $1 per day/month?
 
Mehhh, I don't trust any of the volume tools. But they're really good to find keywords none the less. I find keywords within the 40-250/month range to be very imprecise. That's a good thing though! These are usually at least 3-4x what is shows as volume in Ahrefs.

Keyword everywhere tell us about monthly search of keywords.
 
For volume metric I definetely would prefer Keyword Planner in Google Ads (you don't need to pay or push ads for using it).
For Keyword difficulty you can just copy them in Keywords Explore and use ahrefs or semrush. I would prefer ahrefs.

You do though because I'm logged in now checking keywords and it does not show any data?

Use Discover New Keywords option.

And never consider seriously competition column. They measure it from ads activity and bid price.

I rechecked my ads account and it was INR 50/day (USD 0.68/day). The campaign length was just 2-3 days. The exact volume within GKP was available for weeks after that campaign ended.
