How much accurate is ahrefs keyword search volume?

I have noticed that ahrefs keyword explorer shows low search volume compare to other keyword tools like keywords planner, semrush or Keywords Everywhere. Which one should I consider more accurate? There is a very big difference among ahrefs and others.

I think it is 95% accurate. As they get there data from Google Keyword Planner & paired with clickstream data with the help of which gives they are able to provide an accurate estimate of search volumes for almost every keyword.
 
As someone who use ahrefs for 3 years+ i would say 20-30% accurate. And for some specific keywords in my niche it is close to 0.
 
I feel Ahref if more of handy, which comes with some good filters and more of addon features to play with.

Not very accurate but much dependable than similar tools like ubber suggest and semrush.
 
Ahref is not 100% accurate but comparing to other tools it's data is some what reliable. Always check 2 or more tools when doing keyword research to make a conclusion.

this right here. It's only accurate for very few keywords, I find most ahrefs SV to be inflated and sometimes even extremely understated. Use Keyword Surfer instead, I find that to be more accurate.
 
I never belive in single tool, i always use 2 3 keyword tools like: ahrefs, kwfinder, semrush.
 
Used ahref to get backlinks and get ideas about backlinks
Moz: used to find out niches and low competition keywords.
Serpbook tool for tracking keywords.
 
95%? Seriously? It's not even 60-70%. Keywords that I'm ranked NOT on the top 3, have impressions of more than 100K a month according to search console, and ahrefs says the same keyword has 5K monthly volume.
 
A lot of tools use projections. That's why their numbers can vary greatly.
 
They've been pretty accurate on some of my websites but at the same time awfully inaccurate on my other ones.

Best to use more than one tool.
 
I think Ahrefs is most accurate.

Google kw planner, Semrush, KWfinder are big liars.
 
I went through using Ahref's, SERPStat, Ubersuggest all at the same time. Honestly, the numbers were so wildly off that it was really hard to compare. Ahref's 'feels' accurate because of the additional data they provide like 'number of no-click searches'. I just got myself SEO Power Suite, low cost so we will see how that goes.
 
Well, i found 1 very high search volume keyword.

Google kw planner, Semrush, KWfinder - 10M
Ahrefs - 2K

First 2 google results of this keyword are getting several hundreds monthly traffic.

After that i only trust to Ahrefs.
 
i think ahrefs have said this on their site that the data is taken from google planner so you can say it is somewhat close to what one needs to be satisfied
