How many hours can you code maximum?

I am too hyperactive to program continuously for more than 20 minutes :D So I have to keep making small (few minutes) pauses, but I can go like that for a whole day. :D

If something is boring or really tricky (in a bad way) - then probably ~6 hours a day.
If I am seeing results and there are no serious issues every step I do ~12 hours a day.
It all depends on situation, programming language, project.
For me best coding gigs are websites, frontend, control panels, Python (linux apps).
Worst will be Windows apps, working with high level code without comments, server errors that pop out for no reason and waste half of you day reinstalling everything.

Really great to see many coders here. I started to learn coding a few months back and it was really stressful. Coding seems to be an endless learning process

95 hours (19hrs/day) in a 120 hour (5 day) period. Paid off nicely. Never want to do it again.

What's really bizzare is a few years later I needed to write something similar, and pulled up the source... It didn't seem familiar at all, and had to work through it like it was someone else's code. It was time constrainted... Complete it ASAP or never do it at all.

How many hours can you code per day?

Coding is a stressful job, so how many hours should we work on a project a day to stay safe and healthy?
If everything goes smoothly, 6 hours a day. If you are search errors, then it is possible to stay till night)))) Definitely not without harm for health. About the dangers the doctors to clarify. Although this work will not lower

9 hours at work + 4 hours at home....
Ritalin + coffe + Ritalin + coffe + Ritalin + coffe ;)

6 hour MAX. not more than that. and that even not continuously!!!

I spend 4-6 hours a day writing code. Error checking always leave the next day with a fresh mind.

If i am on a time schedule and have to complete a project on specific period of time, i can do even 15 to 18 hours but normally its anywhere between 4 to 8 hours.

it only depends on what am coding and the language am using. if what am coding is interesting, then I can code for more than 7 hours but I have also coded for less than 1 hour and felt like my head will burst.

5-6 hours. After that I pull my hair out. I employ the pomodoro technique.

If it's a personal project, could be all day morning to night. If it's something I'm paid for and have interest in, 10 hours. If it's under paid and boring as hell, 2-3 hours if I don't get distracted.
