Totally feel you. I clock in around 3-5 really focused hours too — rest is just admin stuff or “looking busy.” The key is deep work blocks, not nonstop hustle. Quality beats quantity every time.
 
I plan to work 8-10 hrs daily. End up with 5-6 hrs of actual productive work.
 
I’d say around 7+ hours, but if you’re asking about actual productive hours, it’s less. I’ve realized that sometimes I end up pretending to work more than I actually do.

Honestly, same here. I tell myself I’m working all day, but true focused work is around 3 to 5 hours max.
The rest is emails, tweaking things that don’t matter, or just scrolling “for research.” Consistency beats long hours. When I do short but sharp sessions, I get way more done.

IMO, most people who allege that they work 11+ hour grind sessions are getting their hours wrong - or their quality of work isn't that high. I mean, every time you sit down to focus on something you literally are fighting your monkey brain's dopamine cravings.

I think the key to hard work is passion, if you enjoy what you're doing it isn't work. It's cliche but true. it's the reason why I can code for hours on end, I get the same enjoyment out of it as playing video games.

I get about 3 hours of intense work in daily, but I'm trying to bump it up to 5 or 6.

Scrolling for me is also work.. I am not social media person, but I am forced to utilise it for business.. Since age of 18 I am pretty much sleeping 5-6 hours.. I had some free time during covid - walks, hikes, but those times are over now. Back to business (running few). Is hard when you have people who depends on you - thats all I can say

Really depends on what you mean about "really" work since most of the times when I'm building something it is mostly the process of getting to know the subject and do a lot of research and before you know it will take a lot of time away from you and you will be suprised on how much time you spended just reading stuff, with this in mind yeahh about 2 hours max sadly I'm figguring out a lot by myself which I enjoy but know if I could pay someone to do it I would be a lot more productive focusing on what I'm good at.
 
2-3 hours in the morning
2-3 hours in the afternoon
1-2 hours in the evening
 
i'm busy the whole day (like being on this forum, checking statistics and the like), but really useful work is 2-3 hours a day

I think it depends on the amount of work each day that the client gives me, I usually spend about 5-6 hours working, but sometimes I work and sometimes I play.
