Am curious to know how many bhw members full busy with upwork projects & how did you grab your 1st project from up work?

I use it a lot but I am on the buyers' site - not sure I can help you here. But I love that marketplace.
 
I browsed through the site, created an account. But never worked on it. Maybe sent a few bids here and there.
But I have been doing fiverr, nothing too big. Just around 300$ earned in almost 9 months. I have been trying to make much more on fiverr but I don't know how to.

Hope that I get to learn quick here and make 300$ a month. This is my first goal.
 
My main income. There are partly well-paying clients, it makes you realizes how much potential there actually is.
 
I worked on upwork (it was odesk before) 2010-2014, worked in few hundred projects, worth around 50k$ total (that's not the money I earned, as other people also worked under my team and I had to pay them, I got around 20k$).

I still have few hundred review on my upwork profile. Sometimes, when I have time or I need money, I still work on upwork. I still have some very old clients whom I got from upwork and still get some projects from them.
 
The trick is to do first projects on a very low budget first to get the good reviews.
However, you should have the really good profile with all tests and stuff
 
I have created an account a year ago but I never worked there. I just bid an low cost for projects and didn't get any client.
Someone, please tell how to bid and get the project.
 
When It was oDesk I was working there. When It changed it's name I quit.
 
There's a guy on YouTube called Bradley Riley..he's got good info about Upwork....I am also starting Upwork too .... Like anything, you have to start and dedicate..apply for jobs everyday, build reviews etc... slowly it will become a good income once people trust you and you get a good reputation....good luck
