How many days it will take to learn video editing ?

Its actually depends on how keen you'r to learn video editing, you can learn basic editing in couple of weeks but for long term you must do various projects its take time after 1+ year in field you will get the deep knowledge etc.

just grab capcut desktop and start playing around with it. if you are doing this for marketing or social media you really don't need premiere or after effects right away... that just slows you down. find some high engagement short videos in your niche and try to copy their style frame by frame. you'll learn the actual pacing and hook placement which honestly matters way more than knowing how to use every single tool in a complex software.

Do you guys realize that the original poster asked this in 2022.
By now, he is either a pro level editor or gave up on video editing.

That all depends on what you want to achieve. It will take you 7–14 days to pick up the basics, 1–2 months to feel comfortable with it, and 3–6 months become professional at

Yeah @neo is right this thread is old but since people keep bumping it... I actually agree with @XSMMDoctor on this. Everyone gets obsessed with learning Premiere or Davinci right away and they get overwhelmed. If you are doing this for marketing or social media, just get capcut and copy the pacing of high performing videos in your niche. You don't need to learn VFX in 10 days like some people are saying lol, you just need to know how to keep people watching past the first 3 seconds.
