Video editing is really important skill to learn now days , good editing help you to make engagement .

I always wanted to learn video editing , tell me from where i can start my journey ?

That depends on the kind of video editing you're willing to learn. Basic YT videos editing, you'll get a hang of any software within 1 month. For advanced and professional level editing you need to keep learning, no fixed time frame but you'd definitely need 1+ year of consistent on the job learning to become an expert.

Youtube is great resource for free tutorials on video editing. For a more in-depth, premium learning experience you could invest in a full course on platforms such as Udemy.

That entirely depends on two things:
  1. The level of editing you want to learn
  2. The software you will use
For basic editing, you can watch YouTube tutorials to gain essential skills within a week.

Quick Tip: Start with one editing software, and stick to it until you learn the basics of video editing. If you keep switching between tools in your learning phase, you'll definitely get confused and lose motivation.

Thank you , I think in first month i am only able to learn about its tools but in a second month I am able to use tools to

do editing for YT video , Then with time became a pro in it :)

As a video editor myself, it took me about a month to learn the basics. Then in order for me to become advanced, I had to keep working on different projects, and whenever I come across something I'd want to learn. I'd search youtube in order to learn how to do it then I would use what I learn in my videos. Do this for a year consistently and you will get to the advanced level in video editing.

It depends on your needs and skills available .
No one knows the exact day for learning .

every person is different

Depends on how strong your logic is

A person with high level logic will learn software, that just requires click-test-learn ... WAY FASTER than a person who's more of a literary learner *(has to read)*

But for me, the general rule of thumb is just jump in and try. You'll figure it out faster that way than trying to create some complicated process of bulleted guides 1a, 2a, 3a .. etc

But that's just me.

I learned the basics of every video editor I tried within 1 day.

It depends from person to person as well as the software you are gonna learn

Premiere Pro
Davinci Resolve

Both are good just choose which one suits you best

the fastest way to learn is to know what you want in a simple way if you find an effect you want to add watch a video on yt then master it
and if you are willing to put in more effort then watch a full course on any of the software mentioned above you'll like to learn that way you'll have the full idea of how the software works as well as the tools given in the software

Practice makes a man perfect :)

It definitely depends. If you want to do simple videos editing, like adding texts, some effects and stuff, it could be quick, like 2-3 weeks. If you're about doing the kind of film editing it could take 2+ years, I believe. You don't only need special technical knowledge but filming techniques as well as scenario structure.

It's easy if you love movies since it becomes more like fun than boring tasks. Also Davinci Resolve is the best. I have used a computer for so long and never figured out what sorcery was video editing. Resolve changed all that.

totally it depends on your strategy and mentors. Lot's quick methods are available in Youtube

Using software is easy, being "creative" and knowing how to create engaging content isn't.

I'm also new to this, but you can begin your video editing journey by exploring software like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. There are many online tutorials to help you get started.

It might take a few days, if we're talking about basic cutting and title overlay; 2-3 months and basic Adobe After Effects skills, if you want to get by with templates and just be replacing placeholders with your own content; or 6 months+ of daily dedicated time, if you want to get actually good and start producing memorable, custom media.

I would advice you starting out with free youtube tutorial series; also check out videocopilot.net for excellent after effects beginner lessons.

its totally depend on you, going to chat pt and write give me routine of learning video editing they will give you good routine

In my experience, three months is enough to learn the basics of video editing if you practice regularly and follow tutorials.Software like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve can be useful there .And you can learn from YouTube .

In my opinion, for basic video editing skill, it may take a few week to a couple of month of consistent practice and learning. so, it depend on your knowledge.
