Things are moving so fast nowadays its as if one browser won't do it anymore?
  • Internet Explorer's bugs are legend
  • Firefox went downhill after 3.6 for me. The old app was cool for a minute but the net changes to fast for that
  • Google Chrome, not for me. IE is faster than Chrome on my systems
  • Opera. Browser perfection even if you had to switch for certain tasks. Google purchasing Opera is too depressing to think about. Advertising is sure to follow.

Which leads to my questions.
  • Who uses Maxthon and is the latest version the best version? :)
  • Is Maxthon really a browser technically or just a Internet Explorer add on?
  • Any SeaMonkey lovers?
  • Any HyperSonic lovers?
  • Anyone having better than good dependable browsing experiences with something I didn't mention?
  • For all you Linux lovers, I know, I know. You're right! Soon come. :p

Wow, your computer can handle lots of processes.
I use Firefox. I just switched out from Chrome because it was taking a lot of resources on my computer (there were like 10 seperate "Chrome.exe" processes in Task Manager, each taking anywhere from 10MB - 200MB of my RAM).
Firefox only takes 180 MB of RAM and only has one process according to Task Manager.

No way in hell I'm taking Safari or Internet Explorer xD

I am having the same problem with chrome and its making me lean towards switching to opera 12. I heard it is going to be pretty speedy :D. Anyway, I currently have 2 browsers on my PC (Firefox and Chrome).

Maxthon is my primary browser (it's definitely not just an IE addon, to answer your question), Chrome Canary (the beta builds of chrome) as my 2nd choice, firefox as 3rd, and rarely I'll bust out IE. But maxthon and chrome seem to do the job for me, and chrome is getting used less and less lol.

I use Chrome, as it seems to run very nice for me. I used Firefox before Chrome, but Firefox seemed to act up. I never uninstalled IE, but I never use it. I have also noticed a bunch of Chrome.exe processes... It hasnt really affected me yet with 6GB of memory on a less than year old laptop, but im curious about these other browsers you guys listed now!

Max doesn't allow me to resize my images when writing a wordpress blog, so I don't use it :(

This is my first action with Maxthon. I like it already. Feels light and fast! Keep those answers coming.
I think I'm going to be a 4 or more browser guy.

the multiple chrome.exe processes correlate with the number of tabs you open, since chrome treats each tab as a separate process... that way if one tab crashes, the others don't ;)

Safari and Chrome on my MacBook Pro. Chrome is the default and Safari is rarely used. I run a Windows 7 virtual machine too - that has IE built in of course and Firefox as default browser.

1. Firefox, 2. Chrome, 3. Safari, 4. IE, 5. Opera. Firefox is my primary browser. But sometimes i think Chrome is better.

ChromIUM as main browser and Firefox + iMacros + plugins that helps me when I have to create new scripts / debug DOM / analyze network on my linux systems. Occasionally I fire up ie via wine mostly to test the occasional design compatibility. Have a few Virtual Machines ready with a full windows and a hackintosh just in case I need to ensure extra compatibility or perform extremely specific tasks. A rich hosts file with a lot of redirections to 127.0.0.1, so really I don't even know what an ad (save mine) looks like. Flash is off by defauly and selectively on whitelisted sites, ditto for javascript. But for the sake of completion I mostly have a gazillion of webkit instances driven by various python / c++ / c# (mono webkit#) scripts to accomplish *ehm* various tasks... Lots of fun, really...

Opera,Chrome,Firefox,IE.
Usually Opera with either two separate Windows with around 30-50 tabs + Chrome with tabs and then every now and then Firefox and IE.
At work I run Opera as the main one, Chrome for all Analytics etc. Firexfox + Firefox through Vmware at the same time.Used Safari once on there but never used it again.

Chrome Dual Monitor 30+ tabs each, IE occasionally for porn and Firefox if Chrome is bugged out.

1st Choice: Google Chrome
2nd Choice: Internet Explorer
3rd Choice: Firefox

I used Firefox for a long time, but after their most recent updates I just gave up. They are so slow and hog so much memory. I primarily use Chrome as it seems to be the best at handling my needs, plus it has a neat little feature for inspecting HTML code in realtime (and modifying HTML code in realtime).
