How many backlinks should be built in a month?

I don't think that there are any specific numbers of monthly backlinks. It depends on things that seem natural not spammy. for example, if you have a news site and you get 100 high authority backlinks naturally it looks good to Google's eyes if you have 50 spammy backlinks then it seems spammy.

It depends on the age of the site and the quality of the backlinks. Don't blast all 200 links on the same day to promote a single URL. Publish them slowly on different dates and split the links to the inner pages to look more natural. If Google finds anything suspicious, the site will be in trouble.
 
As many mentioned , it depends on the niche and keywords but you can drip feed the links up to 200 per month.
 
Build back-links from niche relevant and traffic sites, you can create 20-40 quality links per week.
 
If the website is a big brand with many backlinks and more natural links, then 200 is fine. But for new sites, 200 is a big count.
 
I dont think so its possible to built 200 backlinks per month. it depends on the website may be 50 per month will be safe
 
200 backlinks/month is too high! Aim for quality over quantity, normal SEO builds backlinks slowly, like 5-10 for a new site. Focus on high-quality, relevant sites for backlinks.
 
As others mentioned, there's no fixed answer

A huge site like Google probably gets thousands of new links per day

A relatively new and unknown site doesn't

So for Google, getting 200 new links looks natural. For the new site it'd raise flags.
 
It primarily depends on your keyword competition. Some require more backlinks, while others require less.
 
Im trying to build atleast 1 new backlink every day, I think thats a good number
 
It depends on your website but generally you should aim to create 30 to 50 links per week.
 
Primarily, it involves analyzing yourself and your competitors. possibly identifying insufficient SEO optimization, irrelevant or unattractive content and inadequate advertising.

This differs from one project to another. Some niches where you are competing with big sites, need you to build more links.
 
if u r interested to do backlinks to each others if we have the same niche ; i am open for your proposition.

by the way 200 backlinks per month ; in some niche it can be nothing , some competitors has million of backlinks , also regarding to your da and domain age , its not logic to build thousand of backlinks soudanly : search engine will penalise your site if its not relevant and logic.
