How you guys are saying 5 articles is good for new website ? Guess ? I think 6 will be good.

Very Intersting Question ..

There can be any number of articles but The quality of article should be good and yes the size of the Article should be around 500 Words and Google Likes Fresh and unique Content and If you are updating your Website on regular time Interval Then You'll Be soon On Top page Google !! So , all The best .. keep rocking

i would say that if you want to actually keep your site up and going the more the merrier, you can always start it with 1 and grow from there

dont be lazy with your content

Add 30 quality content to your site. And add content daily. 1 article 500 words.
