How Many Are Upgrading to Windows 10?

Not wanting to add to the FUD regarding Windows, Microsoft is great at doing that themselves, here's more info about the so-called keylogger in the preview copy:

Microsoft tells you in the privacy policy that it is collecting keystrokes. There is a whole section called "Data we collect," and it clearly states:
[when you] enter text, we may collect typed characters and use them for purposes such as improving autocomplete and spellcheck features.
It also states that Microsoft is collecting information about you, your devices, applications and networks, and your use of those devices, applications and networks.
"Examples of data we collect include your name, email address, preferences and interests; browsing, search and file history; phone call and SMS data; device configuration and sensor data; and application usage."

If you're worried then avoid the preview copy which MS says should not be installed on a operational computer.

I actually got a notification saying I would get Windows 10 for free.

I took the opportunity, looks like I'm going to be a guinea pig...

I have this annoying habit of having to have the latest thing. Because maybe, just maybe there is some small, new feature that will vastly improve my life over the old thing.

This is irrational of course, however I am eagerly awaiting the release. Throw in the fact that it's 'free' and the last one, I think, I see no valid reason not to just upgrade and get used to it now.

Besides it's summer, and I usually drink more during the summer, so I can handle the frustration of a new Windows.

I've been using Windows 10 as my main OS for around a month and a half. In short, it's awesome. It has everything I love about Windows 7 and everything I love about 8.1. I hated most of Windows 8 and view 8.1 as not really worthwhile over 7. Windows 10 does not feel like a bloody mobile OS like 8 does, and they have greatly improved the multitasking functionality. There's nothing 7 does better imo. If anyone has questions about it feel free to AMA.

I'm still using Windows 7 too. I was going to upgrade last year but didn't like the reviews I read so I just stuck with this one.

I was offered a free upgrade to 10, so I will be upgrading. Windows 8 is so annoying and its so much more difficult to try and multitask with that interface.
