How Many Are Upgrading to Windows 10?

ok.. it still has icons over text for the program menu - it's settled. Icons are for children who cannot read yet

Eh I will Stick with Windows 7 Ultimate and maybe change down the line if 10 starts to take off.

I'm happy with my modded version of windows 8.1. It's just like Windows 7 but way more stable.

I'm currently using Windows 8.1 and haven't had any issues with it so I will upgrade to Windows 10 when it comes out next month.

Did not update to the Windows 8, but i can't wait for July 29th before installing Windows 10.

The first users of any Windows versions are essentially free testers for Microsoft. I usually only upgrade to a new version after one or two years.
What this guy said. I'll be upgrading probably in a year or two. WIN7 still works great for me :)

Every version of Windows has lots of bugs at the beginning. I prefer to wait until they are all fixed.

Have any of you guys noticed the pattern with MS and their OS's? Windows sucked, then NT was better, 95 sucked then 98 was better, ME sucked and then XP was better, vista sucked and then 7 was better. To me, it seems as if they just release garbage to have people do a paid beta and then fix everything of that build and release it as a "new" OS. As with the way the video game industry now sells beta's to people as "early access", that theory does not seem all too conspiratorial, now does it?

I dont get why so many people are saying windows 8 and 8.1 were so bad, there is so much easy customization you can do, the easiest getting the traditional start menu back.

My sentiments exactly. Screw them and their pretend addition of features ... always just a marketing ploy. Damn Windows XP still working just fine on plenty of VMs ... that shits over ten years old and still practically completely functional. I expect to wait at least 3 years before upgrading my primary machines from Windows 8 to Windows 10.

If what i had heard is not wrong windows is giveaway free update to all (Including Pirated users ) Free update to WINDOWS 10 on the first month !

I'm on Windows 8 right now and I HATE IT SO MUCH.

It's so strange to navigate, there's literally nothing "cool" about it. I don't know how I feel about Windows 10, the only way I would upgrade is if I didn't have to pay like $200 to do it.

Have you added start menu 8 to it?

Windows 7 and above get a free upgrade the first year. They are not supporting pirated versions because that would be a give away to most of China!

And Microsoft knows that most savvy Windows users know this so this is why the upgrade is free during the first year after the release.

I'm planning to install it on my primary desktop computer the day of release on my SSD I just bought (it currently has Windows 8.1 on it). If I don't like it, I'll just switch back to my Windows 7 Ultimate HDD or I'll buy another SDD and put Windows 8.1 on it.
