How many anchored text links are too many for one article?

I am ready to begin article writing for my site but do not know exactly how many with anchored links to enter my landing page in each article. Should I only put an anchored text link at the bottom of the article or put them throughout whenever the keyword phrases come up? The difference would be either two links at the bottom of the article or about 7 throughout the contents. Will the PR be penalized for articles flooded with links to the landing page?

I only put one outbound link per article myself so as not to dilute the link juice.

Do you put it your link on the resource box or in your article?

I personally have 2 outbound links in the resource box of my articles and none in the actual article itself. As BassTrackerBoats says you don't want to dilute the link juice by having too many outbound links

I always use the resource box... it doesn't matter where it is as long as it's there and the resource box always allows for an anchored text.
