How many ads are too many for Adsense?

Also keep in mind, that if you've got 3 Adsense Ads inside your blog post, that Adsense Ad you've got on your sidebar DOES count as one of said 3 allowed ad units.

Just be careful.

3 is your max unless you have been advised.
i would not even bother with link ad units this will only reduce your income.

have you considered your ad placement and color? there are a few things that can be done to increase CTR.

Also remmer there are a few ruls to consider with ad placement like placing ad unit near images or download buttons.

Depending on the niche you can place the code for up to 3 ads if already having a regular adsense account , but anyway I would suggest to stick to 2 per page , the best performing ads in my experience have been the responsive text ads ,

The key here it's to test a lot and stick to those ones that perform the best

Hello 3ltOn1
its not really depending on the niche its dependat on Adsense TOS. you need to follow the rules. now some niches do better with 2 ad units others do best with 3 so testting is key , Why not test with Adsense A/B testing for colours also?

dude , you're allowed to place up to 3 ads while being a standard publisher , there is no chance of getting banned because of the number of ads being placed ,

yes you can get banned if you cover the whole page with ads and stuff , I have read that TOS thing several times , lazy enough to check it out again and paste some sentences here but yeah , you should be fine

i just miss understod your reply as from your reply it implies you are stating your niche determines the amount of ad units , that's what i want to clear up as its not niche related .

:)

Anything above 3 ad units will probably get you banned. I've seen people getting banned because they placed 4 ads in one page.

Adsense has many horror stories mate haha

Totally that's why you should do it correct . none of that made for Adsense sites make real valuable site for your targeted audiences and you can quite easily make 2000usd a month.

Also note that if each page of content is like 1k+ words, you can likely get away with having 2 body ads, 1 sidebar and 1 header ad. 3 is the general rule of thumb, so you don't look like some spammy site, but with decent amounts of content, you'll likely be fine.

Adsense is utter sh*it. They can ban you for literally everything, and all your money goes to waste.

BE very, very careful.

i have been earning over 1500usd a month for few years and never had issues.

To avoid any ban. I'm having 2 per page. Does it matter where the ads are from? I'm currently only using Adsense for ads, but if I were to use two more of another company's ads would this result in a ban?
Of course you will get ban if you are using ad networks which do not comply with adsense policies. You can put up maximum of 3 ads per page .However you can place more ads if anyone has an adsense premium account.

3 ads IMO, 1 in the header, 2 in content. Sidebar ads are useless for me.

3 is the max from their TOS. they didn't give a restriction to the number of other ad agencies that you can use besides Adsense

I have website with download traffic and use only 1 ads. CTR ~8-10%, sometimes ~12%. When I tested right sidebar my CTR was nearly 0.5-1%. So... I don't need 2 or 3 and more ads. Very important role here - usability your website and traffic (niche).

I have seen 5 ads in some sites. But I have one site with 3 ads.
