To avoid any ban. I'm having 2 per page. Does it matter where the ads are from? I'm currently only using Adsense for ads, but if I were to use two more of another company's ads would this result in a ban?

I'm using 3 ads since past couple of years without anysort of issue.
1st is on the header section (Above Menu)
2nd on Right hand sidebar
3rd is just about my footer section.

Keep in mind that a maximum of three ad units, three link units, and two search boxes may be placed on one page. In addition, note that every publisher is responsible for the content of a site on which their ad code is placed. If a site is found in violation of our policies, we will notify any publisher(s) whose ad code is on the site.

...

Publishers may not place more than one "large" ad unit per page. We define a "large" ad unit as any unit similar in size to our 300x600 format. For example, this would include our 300x1050 and 970x250 formats, our 750x200 and 580x400 regional formats, and any other custom sized ad with comparable dimensions.

However, keep in mind that placing the maximum number of allowed ad units on a page might result in it looking cluttered. Read our optimization guidelines for tips on where to place your ads. For best practices on custom sized ad units, review our custom-sized ad units page.

The above ad limits also apply to mobile sites. In addition, two or more AdSense ads may not appear on the screen at the same time on a mobile site.
Don't worry about getting banned from Adsense because you displayed more than 3 ad units, the 4th and every subsequent ad unit would simply display a blank space as the code prevents this from happening. It's still best to remove the blank ad as it looks ridiculous, though.

Also, before anyone says anything like, "you can display for than 6 ads per page because I've seen it before", these are Premium Adsense publishers who can do this, not regular Adsense publishers.

As for the question,"how many ads are too many before I see a negative reaction toward them", the answer is that it depends on your target demographic. The visitors on my Adsense site respond well to a maximum of 3 ads per page; 2 in-content and 1 sidebar ad. Using the maximum number of ads (3 ad units and 3 link units) actually caused me to see a greatly reduced CTR of 0.10% down from my original 1.00% before I placed those extra ads.

Hello,

In Adsense maximum you can have upto 3 ad Units, but not more than that.

Luck!

3 standard ads and 2 link units per page are allowed. And this is only for standard account. If you can get into Premium, I think there's no limit.

There is a way to get more than 3 ads. You can get 5 adsense ads max.

I wanna know if someone can tell me what is the minimum word count for adding a adsnese banner on approved site?

I am paginating my articles and I am curious how low can I go.

Stick to no more than 3 ads, it is likely that adding more ads will not increase your revenue much anyway. 90%+ of users will click your top 2 ads. Thus, adding more will not generate much more revenue.

Rule is 3 adsense ads, then you can also use other ad providers on top of that, but make sure you do your research and make sure they're compatible with adsense. Google is pretty picky.

3 ads in a site is a good method of using ads to avoid banning

Don't use more than two ads apart from adsense. Also, too many ads may increase the opening time of your site and this is not good for a site.

im using 3 ads and other cpa offers but im sure that other cpc offers are not allowed in conjunction with adsence
