I would take recommendations as to where to go to understand how to evaluate competition because as a beginner, I am really having difficulties. I just discovered another keyword and key phrase that is difficult to offer but definitely has 22,000 competitors with Google solutions as top 3. Anyway appreciation to both of you for your solutions. . . . .

I believe that it is different for everyone. No one can tell you how long it will take, it depends on what you are doing for SEO, how much time you have invested into it, there are so many different factors that can play out on this one.
