As we all know, SEO is dead. It was most recently killed by the HCU, or a more recent update.
It's also about to die, from AI.
But how long ago did SEO die? It's a question that we're now in a position to answer. BHW has been around a long time, longer than a lot of its members have been alive. If the answer exists, it's probably here somewhere. So I did some digital arachaeology by going back through the forums, back to the old days, looking for ancient posts. And after all that digging, I can say:

Very sad news to find that it's been dead for 14 years, but hopefully with this info we can all grieve properly and move on.
To help that process I spent a lot of money, a huge fortune really, on putting this touching gravestone in a an exclusive cemetery.
