How long do backlinks take in Ahrefs?

How long do backlinks take to show in ahrefs as well as to take affect for SERP rankings. I know this can possibly take weeks/months, but just wondering what it usually takes for a timeframe.

It depends with several factors, for links to effect to show SERP rankings, primarily they must be crawled and then within hours after they have been cached in google you should see the change, at times it even after the crawling stage.... I think the indexing method has an effect on how fast the results will be seen and for ahrefs I think of late it has been fast to discover quality links; within 24 hours I have seen some links show up.

In my experience i have seen links to be appeared within 48 hrs.

There is absolutely no way on earth to determine that as there are too many factors involved in the process. My suggestion is to drink decaf and continue on your SEO journey and things will fall into place.

BassTrackerBoats is right, it can take from few days up to few months for SERP changes to become visible.
