How long did it take you to grow your IG account?

It took 6 months for me to reach 1500+ followers with engagement more than 18% per post. Sometimes even more than 20%. I'm growing my account manually. Yes, that's not a huge amount of followers because my account is a brand account for my shopify store

Interesting. Currently, I'm growing an account, and when it gets to where I want it to be, I'm going to start a shopify store. I've been struggling to decide if it'd be better to start it now without actual traffic, to where I'd have to build it, or to just build this instagram account, and from there make it. I can also buy shoutouts from large accounts in my niche, as not a lot of people are doing what I have in mind, and there's a humongous market for it that's been untouched. So I'm still trying to decide, as I don't want to start trying to get traffic from my Instagram account to early because I don't want to look spammy also.

I'm currently at 8.5k, all of my posts are going viral. My most recent one is posted 2 hours ago and has 100k views. I am growing organically, and I gained 1k followers yesterday, I'm trying to hit up to 5k a day, by posting 5 new posts a day.

Damn, that's some awesome progress. Keep it up man! Do you think posting even more than 5 would be overkill on your account or would it only help? Keep it up man!

I think there is no-where to go but up, as long as I use different tags for every post, this way I cannot overload a post already ranked in the tag. It really is just laziness for me, I currently exclusively post videos, and finding them is sometimes hard, and boring. If you got any questions let me know, I'll respond to anything.

Have you thought about auto-uploading for maximum efficiency? I just started using it, so much better than manually typing the caption, and the tags on my tablet. I set up 5 for everyday, although I do non automated uploads throughout the day if I find an interesting picture. Although its not completely automatic, you just get a notifcation for when you scheduled it, go to the notification, since Instagram doesn't allow sites to post for you, it opens IG for you, puts the picture, and copies the description in your clipboard, so you don't have to type it by hand on your phone/tablet. I schedule using my PC, but you do need the app. I personally use HootSuite, as it's free, and easy.

Also a few questionsL
  • Do you plan to monetize your IG? If so when.
  • Did you buy any followers, like 2k just to get you started and make it look like you have "quality" content?
  • Are you going viral due to hashtags?
  • Did you buy any shoutouts?

1. Yeah, I accept shoutouts from whoever messages me. I may set up a store in the future, I'm not quite sure.
2. I bought a shoutout from a 114k follower account, and it got me 114 followers, other than that I didn't buy any followers.
3. I'm going viral before my tags I'm pretty sure.
4. The one I mentioned before, but that is all.

Only Pult does automatic posting without manual interference, I switched from hootsuite, not free though you have a free trial.

Just keep you account in use as much as you can.

It depends on your end goal. If your end goal is to open a shopify store, you can open it now no matter how many followers you have. Focus more on engagement and conversion. It's not uncommon that many people that have huge amount of followers only get 1 or 2 sales. That's because they focus more on gaining followers not engagement and conversion. Just a thought :)
