How long can the new website use ranking?

My domain name was purchased in November last year, and the website was developed and launched on July 15 this year. At the same time, I submitted it to GSC. It has been online for almost 2 months.

The website mainly does the following:
1. The website has updated a few posts
2. Set the inner links.
3. Made a diversified external link for the website (including web2.0, wiki, .edu external link), social signals, and 20 PBN backlinks.
4. I did a more comprehensive audit of the website, and there was basically no problem.

The website is currently indexed normally, but the keywords are not ranked.

Do I need to wait longer to see the keywords of this new website rank? Is the site still in the sandbox? Need wait 6 months?

Is it a high competitive niche? Or has it no competition?
 
Loads other variables to consider, like niche, quality and amount of content, keyword research...

It usually takes 6 - 8 months for the traffic to kick in for "quality" sites.

Is there still a sandbox effect?
Even if my website is optimized very well, there will be no ranking.

The backpack niche is dominated by high authority ecom sites, and I'd consider it a difficult general niche.

You can call it a sandbox, but it's better to think in terms of content achieving full maturity.

If your targeting the keyword term "backpacks" it's going to take you years of regular content and steady quality links to hit page 1, this is why it's best to target lower comp keywords first to get the ball rolling. I'd also go for a specialized sub niche of backpacks, rather than being generic.

ie; "backpack for cyclists" which is a growing niche, and once I had 50 good articles about backpack for cyclists, I'd branch out to other useful related cycling products.
 
You need to wait for sometime, be patient, keep building links and update your site regualrly.

thanks I target keywords: school backpacks. And laptop backpack
 
There 2 totally unrelated sub niches, so internal links aren't going to do it. Specialize in one area and you stand a better chance. You also need to look for long tail keywords, as ranking for 2 words is difficult in any niche.

Something like "best school bags for secondary school" or "black school handbags" where the comp is lower, but still decent monthly volume.

So thanks. My home page optimizes the two types of words: school backpack and laptop backpack, writing the content, external chain and internal chain of these two types of words. Can I? Or only optimize one of the words in the school backpack or laptop backpack on the home page? Which is better?
 
If its a new site, I suggest to give it some more time to see the result. Meanwhile, post informative content regularly and build quality and relevant links, improve organic traffic to your site.
 
You just gotta keep posting new content based on low competition keywords and keep optimising your website.Your keywords will rank eventually.
 
Try traditional silo structure, like this:
Front page - backpacks.
Inner pages:
- laptop backpacks
- school backpacks
- travel backpacks
Sub-pages
- laptop backpack guide
- laptop backpack for students
etc

You will rank eventually, but it will take time. Invest in link building at least 50% of your budget in the begining.
 
It depends on back in the early 2000s, ranking on Google was pretty easy. You just added your main keywords to the title, URL and content body and boom you got to the top 10 in the search results within a few weeks or even days.
