How i've made 30k$ in a week

Hello to BHW community,

Straight to the point. I have a website where i have implemented Gather Network script. They just launched their live product a week ago. I was lucky to be in first wave of their projects.
Just one week after that i got my first payout. You can see how much i got on screenshot below

This is a great opportunity as additional revenue beside ads and affiliate marketing.
What the name of the website

This looks like promotion

I'll say why:

1) I would never share any tip to nobody in case I am doing $30k /week LMAO, whatever someone might think... say.. can't be saturated BS and more, I would never ever say a word about my income

2) TITLE: How i've made 30k$ in a week
What a call to action to click on thread! So clickbait

Back it up with a picture, or actual transfer of cash from A to B won't increase any trust for me.

3) Guy limits who can see his profile, which is always a red alert

4) His post count is tiny from 2011 till this day, and yet, he is here to answer each and every reply TODAY

5) He indeed (fact) is promoting this company that has a fee of $75 which is a very fat lead

6) Hidden script thing is there for years and works with movie, streaming, anime and many other niches. You can get one for yourself and stay out of any networks.
(it's not a big deal or a problem to code or buy yourself one)

7) This guy site traffic is low in general! This encourages you to pay that fat lead and join the network, because you got better targeted traffic and could earn even more.

I am not saying that I am right at all, but it is just how I see this situation. I won't jump in for sure, even if OP claim he got millions, lmao.

Had to give my comment, good luck to everyone, stay rich please, winter is coming (always)

Some more details would help. Looks promising but everything looks promising when people post "I made 30k" images as "proof"

Again, I'm not promoting anything. Just share my results. I think if i would say that i earn that money without any reference how, that would be odd. This why i mentioned where i earned it.

I have a small amount of messages, true, but basically because 8 years i was far away from any IM, i worked as developer and didn't read BHW to often.

Still I can understand your opinion and your sceptical approach. Too many scams online this days

Same you show only screenshot

Guys please ask questions, not just "more details". I don't read minds and can't know what details you're looking for

Have you been able to successfully cash out this amount? Or that's where those 75$ fees come into the game?

It actually does not make sense for you to promote this project if the value will go down as more adapters will join.

You can find that transaction (if I'm not wrong), it also shared by the network on official twitter account, the site was mentioned as well (i think post was deleted to protect it from being ripped), he even shared what's on the site and the quiz plugin he's using.

What other details you need? His bank account and CC details?

I'm hodling it in gth. I can swap it in anytime, but as all crypto holders i believe it can go up.

As for the promotion, it's irreversible process. No difference will it be publishers from BHW or not. I understand that it will drop quite a lot in next few weeks but it still remains a good additional revenue even then.

Something does not click.

You hold it, but you know it will drop in value anyways?

Wouldnt it make sense to cash out now 30k as it's probably all times highest, then just keep earning from traffic?

Why it even should go up as probably demand for selling traffic(or computing) will always be higher than demand for 75$ buy-ins and cloud computing as such if there are projects like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_distributed_computing_projects

Obviously, marketing and growth it's an irreversible process, but why help that tho by throwing a jar of gasoline into fire and sharing this on money-hungry forum, unless the reason is to get 75$ buyers to help doing pump and dump to cashout your coins and leave the project I do not see any reasons why to promote it. sounds as ponzi as it can be.

At least looking here it does not look promising as well, just another shitcoint https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/gather/

As I understand, now all that dropin javascript is doing is mining this coin and no real value is produced. So it's printing itself?

1621059559422.png

Another thing, if this is so cool why put a joining fee? It's a primitive javascript drop-in that just connects users from website to nodes by using websockets. There is no complicated setup process at all and if someone says there is, that for sure is a bullshit statement. Filtring out newbies? traffic is traffic and newbies can help in marketing, another bullshit thing..

And weeks of waiting time to just add javascript snippet or increase nodes? Even with manual review of website, sounds too sketchy to be true. No need for new publishers? then no need to add 75$ fee as well, just a waiting list and then onboard the best of them first hand..

I'm not in crypto, so I probably do not understand something here and I apologize for that, just asking questions out of my curiosity and being an average skeptical random asshole. There is a reason why javascript-based crypto mining projects dies out. I do not see how this one differs.

As I cannot edit my post, I will add another thing.

Judging by what this script does, it would take me few hours to replicate and fake the behavior of miners in a node.js and make an army of 'web clients' that sends in hash rates and just mines it.

Imagine what a real hacker could do here.

The more-than-likely case is that, as with the typical pool, it sends "work" to the script to be completed (aka. "mined") and then reports the results to the pool. In turn, the pool has a record of all work done by the specific miner's ID (which would be akin to an 'affiliate ID' in this scenario.)

If it was like you suggested, that you can just spam 'submitHashRate' requests with some numbers, without doing the actual crypto\compute work, then they would be over on day 1, crash and burn, complete failure and retardation. Unlikely to be the case.

From what I gathered, the company's intention is to "outsource" cloud computing capabilities onto the miners of its network, thus having a distributed army of end-user machines ready to be sent cloud compute work, which they will sell to Enterprise clients. There may be some other mining going on as well, of either their coin or some other coins, if no cloud compute work is available at the time (I have no idea if this is accurate, but it seems so from what I've read.)

They would then pay their affiliates\webmasters in their GTH coin as payment for providing an army of regular web users that can perform compute tasks for them.

They seem to be founded "Mar 15, 2018", so they've been around 3 years now, and run on the Ethereum smartchain.

Also note, I don't believe you can mine this coin yourself -- at least I don't see anything anywhere written about being able to. You can run a node for them and get rewarded, or I guess you can join them and pay this 'joining fee', to then be allowed to do this compute work for them and get paid as an affiliate.

If you ask me, the $75 joining fee is ridiculous -- and as many have suggested, that $30k in coin delivered as payment to the OP... it definitely seems suspect, and at this point makes no financial sense.

We need a clear answer HOW\WHY those 60k users x 20% acceptance @ 5 minutes of 'active work time' is supposed to be worth $30k (much more, since that is just the affiliate's cut.) If someone can show how this is feasible to pay out, then we have a more enlightening answer to ponder upon.

Boy would I love for this to be legitimate... but like some other poster mentioned: Who is going to share a $30k/week legitimate method, rather than stay quiet and milk it to the very death until they no longer can?

Yes, that's how in theory it should work. But have you checked this specific script and what it does yourself? Probably I'm missing something then.

I have never encountered the script in the wild, nor have a source to check. I was just going off of your devtools screenshot and I guess "common sense."

There is always a possibility you are correct, and that those who developed their system are utter morons to have no secure "proof-of-work" mechanism that guarantees the end user running the script is actually performing work and not simulating "I did work" responses. But I mean, for a company that has been around for 3 years, have a team, done seed funding rounds, and the fact that nearly all crypto are based on the "proof-of-work" foundation... I'm just sayin, I'd be shocked if they fucked up that massively lol

Well my bad, I forgot to tell where I was checking it. here is a link - https://trading-dojo.com/

As you can see in communication between client and node, there is some hashing and chatting going over on, but I see no real evidence of any kind of real working being done.

That's why I said it's mining itself, the client sends in hashrates and gets back results. But I can't find any real 'computing' tasks being sent to client to be solved.

But there is a chance I do not understand something, so I'm pretty interested if someone could explain this better as I never had done any research in this field.

Oopps...

well, this was expected to be honest. I was surprised that OP said it's not blocked by any AV(or at least that virusscan thing)

And at this rate of profitability, why even publishers are needed, project founders can just set up a lander with something that can hold your users for 3-4 minutes and buy traffic in bulk.

And even more, with this rate of money going in, why OP could not just invest those 30k into something that generates shitloads of traffic, even facebook adds would work with 30k/week lol.

Ok, so I gave it a good look over.

Initially, I was surprised because my CPU was not spiking, barely even moving.... was it using my GPU? It is possible, I actually haven't checked yet. It made me think though "it does not appear to be doing anything useful" (at least at the CPU level), making your suspicions sound more feasible. I looked at my GPU, and it only jumped to 8% in periodic spikes...

I traced the flow a bit, taking a look what it is doing.
1. It _is_ spinning up web worker threads. They are Webassemly\WASM based code it seems, which makes me think "ok maybe it is using my GPU?"
Code:
        for (var t = 0; t < this._threads.length; t++)
            this._threads[t].setJob(e, this._onTargetMetBound)

2. There is a function that is called when a thread 'completes some work' (_onTargetMetBound), and it isn't called instantly, it took a while, which seems to indicate that it did indeed do some computations. Looking at the response, its definitely crypto stuff, a nonce and a computed hash (I changed the values for anonymity):
Code:
{
    "hashesPerSecond": 3123.45823979237,
    "hashes": 123456,
    "job_id": 1234567890234,
    "result": {
        "hashNoNonce": "0x##########################################",
        "nonce": "0x############",
        "taget": "0x##################################################",
        "targetMet": true,
        "hash": "0x#################################################",
        "mix": "0x####################################################"
    }
}

3. I have not taken a look at it, but window.CryptoSources variable has the source code of what I believe is the actual crypto worker worker-asmjs.js. Looking into that would likely reveal what it is actually doing\processing, but I really don't want to spend much more time exploring this at this point.

Conclusion
Ultimately, at this current point, it doesn't seem to be utilizing many resources whatever it's doing. Definitely isn't mining crypto, or if it is, then it is doing it at the most inefficient and most negligible level I've ever seen. My only guess would be: maybe their network isn't loaded with available 'enterprise compute work' yet, so the web clients are only getting tiny bits of distributed compute work that are really not very computationally heavy?

If that is not the case, then you are right, very strange behavior... is it a useless script meant to simulate actually doing work to fool people into buying in? Or is it just not loaded with available compute work right now? Good catch though @lucky.sparks
