How is your Mobile business doing

Charge your customers wisely. Get about 300$ per 1 website to keep new customers rolling. Offer referral packages. And try to get leads the same way you approach a regular website but with just little twist.

offering mobile websites to the local business is the good idea to grow up with.
After hearing many peoples success, i am alos looking forward to start this asap.

I've been doing this business for a while now, at first it was very difficult, a lot of rejections but now more and more businesses realizes that it is something they have to have as almost everyone has a mobile device of some kind and access the net using their mobile devices, so it took off pretty well after promoting it with various methods, mobile websites are now more in demand then desktop sites and I never had any customers not liking my designs, I do it hand coded, I don't use software as the customers always comes back for edits and its easier to edit if its hand coded.
so the answer is yes it is a good business once you can get going with your regulars and if you of course do a good job.

Man, hand coding sounds painful. Not that I would know, since I have zero coding experience. How long did it you to learn that? I think eventually I should be learning this stuff like HTML, CSS, etc as a little technical background goes a long way. How long does it take you to build a website from scratch?

I start from mobile versions of my current site (lower conversion rate, lower RPO, but near 8-9% of all sales).
Considering creating app and promotional campaign for it. Will post it on BHW(currently no progress(

I have a question- how much is a decent amount to charge for a monthly hosting/maintenance fee? I saw a figure of 20/25 a month somewhere on a similar thread. Could this really work, when GoDaddy charges $13 for a whole year of hosting? If the biz owner you are marketing to already has an existing desktop website (that you are going to convert using Dudamobile), then they most likely would not go for 20/25 a month...correct?

We are on the ad side of mobile business. We provide copy-paste solution for website to monetize their mobile web. We see +$2 extra eCPM on mobile. It's adsoptimal.com. Hit Skype or PM if you want to chat with me. Thanks - Brad

I developp a few apps for Android, I earned like 400$ with admob in 2 months, it's an good business but we are depends of the EPCM. Now it's hard to sell paid apps.

Great to see others trying this out!

A bit about myself in this field:

Mobile marketing is amazing and easy as anything to manage. Did you know you can charge a business $499 a month to manage their SMS campaigns? Well its true cause that's exactly what I charge per month.

Because its almost 2014, business owners are smarting up and realizing that emails are being viewed as fax's now.

What does that mean for you? More money. How? Because you will be a guru in uncharted territory to business owners and they will see profits from this.

skype me if anyone has more questions about my business or consulting.

Merry Christmas fellow money makers!

Thanks jimmylegs.

Mobile is an awesome opportunity. I just learned more about the ad side of mobile which has a LOT of potential as well. Keep pushing people. The next frontier is ours!

Mobile ads are better than online if set up right!

Quick Tip: Put them near links and clickable things on your mobile site or whatever you have and the click from clumsy finger are great also lol

That's really interesting. Is it Android / iOS traffic? From what countries is it coming?

I have decided to focus on mobile apps and websites as my business model.

3 weeks ago I have started the same business. I got website, twitter and fb page with 4k likes. Now I'm stuck after blasting few e-mail lists and zero results. Will be appreciated if you give me some advices how to attract customers.

i did some apps last year and they seem to do good if I run ads for them, otherwise they don't get mush traction

This thread is dead along with the whole section of BHW. Most people browsing here will never open a real mobile marketing biz and I have had countless freeloaders trying to siphon my business model for free.

Don't add me on skype and play 21 questions.
