I'm not a psychologist. But I know that people tend to judge others by their own standards. There is a possibility that she acts like that because she has something on her conscience...

I found this video on youtube, i hope that it will prove helplful against the forces of your nosey other half. im still a newbie so i cant add a URL but just type in "how you get into someones facebook messenger account without a password" on google. You might have saved your password, so in actual fact no one needs a password for your account on that specific device.
