Am genuinely curious. Like I remember reading that member abuse isn't allowed on BHW and reported a few posts today as well. For instance this one.

Would this classify as member abuse. Asking because don't wish to flood the mod queue with possible unrequired reports. :)

It seems like this member is on my ignore list as well, so I can't find the thread.
To his defence, he wasn't nice but it's nor a requirement. Some questions are really stupid, especially from people that act or describe themselves as experts.

Some times they need to be called out.

Now, I made up this entire scenario to demonstrate that this response could have been accepted in a certain circumstance.

I would think that personal insults or racial slurs count towards that. I do want to say here is the warning we give for it as it might explain it better. I will keep this open, as I think it would be better if more of our senior mods had more to say about it.

The nature of BHW’s community is not meant to be formal. Members are free to joke around and even poke fun at other members — it’s to be expected. However, we do not allow members to be abusive, threatening, overly aggressive or to participate in extreme forms of “trolling”.

We understand that you were not aware that the exchange had gotten too heated. We can all lose our tempers sometimes, so this warning has been sent to you to serve as a rule reminder. As this is your first warning for this offense, it has fewer points and a shorter length. Keep in mind that if you violate this rule again, the number of points will be steeper and the length of the warning will be longer.

If you are unhappy with another member and do not wish to see their posts, please make use of our “ignore” feature, which has been detailed in this Newbie Guide thread here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/i-find-a-member-annoying-what-should-i-do.1042615/

They were not calling you stupid, they were saying the question was.

It's a clear lack of proper decorum but calling out a question as to being stupid is not the same as calling a person one.

Me, I'd pop open another cold one and just ignore them.

I was the one that responded to your report in this. Are and I took quite some time deliberating over the best course of action but here was my thought process:

Firstly I noticed you had some back and fourth with this member so I decided to look specifically at their first post to see whether what they said was offensive.

Bonkbot is fkn trash. If you are claiming to know what you are talking about, you wouldn't be trading directly on pumpfun or using a shyte bot like bonkbot LMFAO. This thread was meant for you to show how much of a noob you are with trading and to whine lol. And your attitude towards someone trying to help you up above told me everything about you and the point of this thread.

This post was a little aggressive but I don’t think it broke any rules.

Then I looked at your reply:

Pumpfun's buy/ sell console didn't load but trading post migration had begun. LOL. You don't even understand basic English.

This reply came across as someone aggressive; again not necessarily breaking the rules but certainly not friendly.

To answer your really stupid question that any experienced memecoin trader will tell you: No, don't trade or build positions on pumpfun directly OR with shit bots. LOL

Then I looked at this reply which was also the one I noticed first in your report and also the one you have referenced in this thread. Yes it was rude and it would be a borderline case for a warning in my opinion.

But I did not give a warning because I felt the previously quoted replies had led up to this final rude comment.

In this case I decided that I would either have to warn both of you, or just clean up the thread and warn neither of you.

I still wasn’t certain but then I looked back to the members first reply and what had presumably brought them into the thread in the first place and that was a comment that you were already being rude to other members.

I looked at your previous posts and found that yes, you were not being that friendly yourself.

Also if you believe that blindly following some course will make you money, then IDK what to say even.

Did you even read my post?

Again not against the rules and not unprovoked but I didn’t think it was fair warning someone else for rude behaviour and not warning you.

In the end I also decided to mention a summary to you of what I was aiming at; that we should be a friendly community and that you should be setting an example. I think this is especially true as you are a well respected member of the forum although I didnt say that; I thought it was implied.

Happy for the forum . So much thought and time is given before making final just once warning point. Forum is in good hands.

Sometimes it’s quick and painless but sometimes it requires some thought and the goal is to be fair: especially when it involves members of different levels because I think it’s easy to subconsciously favour the trusted member. But I’m trying to avoid that and treat everyone equally.

Alright. No issues. If that is your POV, I respect that 100%. However, I will surely look for greener pastures in mid 2026. Like, there is a pattern which I can observe now since last few months. Won't like to discuss it but that is all I have to say.

Apologies if this thread bothered any of the staff in any way. Just wanted clarity about this thing from a moderator's perspective.

Thanks again.

Reading between the lines, your views and your perception of the collective views of this forum and drifting apart?

I have gained so much knowledge here and I have made money too because of BHW. But like I said, people and communities change for the better or worse and it is upto us to decide what we wish to do.

But again, I always check BHW every 15 minutes while I am awake and it is fun to be here. Still, I feel I don't want to have that feeling of the road less travelled (some poem I read in school).

Anyway, I will keep everyone posted about my plans.
