How Important is Website Design?

You could have the best design, but no traffic. So I would suggest focusing on getting something up with a focus on content to generate traffic. You're never going to get your design perfect, especially from the start. You'll make improvements on design as you progress and it'll come together down the road, hopefully. But if you obsess over design at the beginning and never execute because it's not exactly how you want it then you'll never get anywhere.

Definitely a well-designed website helps you make a good impression on potential customers and audiences. This can also help you in growing your leads and getting more conversions. But, most importantly, it offers good user experience and allows visitors to your website to quickly access and navigate your website

Obviously it is important. For example, if the website design is looking cool and informative then we will stay in that site at least a minute, or else we can leave that site immediately.

The good looking and relevant theme is fine, you shouldn't want to spend $$$ on it. Just make sure themes are responsive and user friendly.

Focus on content and link building to get traffic.

If you dont get traffic, a great design will not help you.

Design is always ongoing process.

Web design/layout has much impact. It is really important if anyone visits your website and website has a low-quality layout the visitor may exit the page and it will increase the bounce rate which directly impacts rankings.

Always Simple Desighn Make your site Unique. most important thing is People Also love the simple design site and Very less loading time

Do you think the default theme is attractive enough to boost clicks, user experience or even user friendliness? If yes, then you should go with the default theme; however the issue here is that this default theme is most likely used by a lot of websites and your visitors may have seen it a lot of times.

Think about it, what makes your website different from others? Will this so called "default theme" make you unique? The answer is probably no. Spending on a custom made web design is absolutely the best investment you could ever make provided it looks good, it's well-made, it's mobile optimized and is easy on your visitors.

A good looking design can reduce your bounce rate , of-course content plays an important role as well. Coming onto your second question, no it's not that important unless you are happy with your default theme.
Thanks for your insight!

I am fully agree with the design part now, but unfortunately I can't even design properly (that's sad).
However, thanks to the free download of @Festinger I have downloaded few good themes with Elementor and working on to learn few quick things through YouTube.

I hope in couple of weeks I can have much better design !!

Can I come up with something counter-intuitive: design matters as much as your competition.

Forget what every guru is saying about design, if the industry/niche in which you activate has incumbents with old/poor design and yet they still generate a profit, it means that the industry/niche doesn't have a lot of competition. Hence, the businesses competing in the field don't need to update their design "to stand out".

One such example is the phone-unlocking by code websites. They have poor design because they are only a few competitors and they generate enough profits to not worry about design.

On the other hand, when a niche becomes ultra-competitive, larger companies with budget to spend start researching/experimenting with design and design principles in order to both stand out and to squeeze any possible conversion. Take the VPN market, where websites have been investing heavily in design and promotions in order to stand out.

Website design is essential, and should not be considered lightly. A well-designed website will help you make a good impression on potential customers. But, more importantly, it provides positive user experience and helps visitors to your website easily access your website and navigate it.

I think it depends on what you want to achieve and who your target audience is.

The design is definitely important.

People buy your brand trust and results.

your website is the face of all of those things. You have to present yourself in the best way possible.

website design for sure is very important. You gonna want to attract visitors by how you present your products/services through your website.

A good design is great for increasing conversions and creating a professional image.

I think that design is important 'cos can make the difference between your and your competitors.

With free or cheap tools you can make nice design

Ps: most part of time I try to make sites for user optimized. It's reason that I try to make it with nice design
Yeah web designing is important as it attracts new customers...it also make you different from your competitors .

Spending your time or money in website designing is important, if your website design is good it will attract the attention of your target audience, which eventually converts into sales, i even revamp and redesign my website design when its needed.
